    UFC 229 Stat update

Now that it is 2 weeks later, are they just gonna wait for UFC 230 since it is only a week and a half away?

Probably hoping everyone just forgets about it. They don’t want to nerf Conor

Patch? Or you mean just the update?

He means the update. I recall him saying the person who handles this is on vacation.

Is this the update where Derek Lewis drops 10 points in every category but they give him the hidden Mike Tyson god treatment for that right hand?

They really should. Going 1-1 against Nate Diaz with his win being a split decision while getting finished against Nate in their first fight, and then he got stomped by Khabib. People need to realize that Nate has always been a pretty average to above average fighter.

He's a monster at featherweight, but he's not some kind of god when stacked up against lightweights like this game would lead people to believe. If he doesn't have all of the McGregor fame, I'm not so sure he is even a top 5 lightweight.

I'm so fed up with EA UFC's treatment of their poster boy. Poster boys are always given way better treatment than they deserve (Jon Jones the heavy hitter, Conor with better grappling than Edgar in 2, Conor having a better chin than Woodley at WW in 3)

Conor can be a totally legit killer, he's definitely easier to use but it's still not that difficult to beat top guys using him because of his insane accuracy and speed (which, by the way, his significant strike accuracy isnt even anywhere near the top 20 in the ufc but he has like 99...)

Yeah his top game in UFC 2 was like a 94 out of 100..what a ****ing joke LOL his clinch grappling was also like 90 or so when Jacare and Cain had crippled clinch grapple in UFC 2 making them useless ( like 60-70 clinch grapple ).

His health stats at WW are also very absurd. He has a good chin for sure, but it would NOT hold up at WW like it has at FW. ( He has been dropped/rocked badly by Nate and Khabib at LW. )

They need to reduce his switch stat to 80, I do not recall him ever knocking anyone out or rocking anyone in an orthodox stance. He really just needs all his stats tweaked slightly. His health stats are off the charts.
And Khabib needs his speed improved a few points cause his boxing was on point in that fight. The overhand was so fast I barely saw what dropped Conor.

Dam I forgot the gave cain bad clinch ratings. I'll give them credit each year we have been progressing towards more balance. I hope in the future we find even more balance making more characters useful.

I also hope they redesign which fighters get the class designations (A, B, C).

For example, Anderson Silva has very low stamina, his health isnt the best, his leg health is terrible and his tds/top/bottom are OK, but somehow he is ranked A.

Don't forget how Adesanya has alright*** striking stamina and health stats, but he's an A yet Paulo RoidaCosta is a B, despite Costa's being better.

That 99 accuracy has been the death of many people. Definitely needs to be reduced.
From a Reddit thread so somebody correct this if it is wrong: Accuracy stat is basically the counter to head movement and footwork. It is very easy to notice against someone who slips a lot with a high headmovement stat character. Accuracy is the difference between your character frustratingly punching air and landing intercepts. It also determines the intercept damage.

If that's correct then no wonder I would get hit by hooks from McGregor like if he were combing my hair while ducking.

Also, with regards to sprawl and McGregor.

I notice McGregor does MUCH more damage from the sprawl position with the strikes to the body. I thought Heavy Hooks were supposed to be for all stand up strikes? And ground strikes were supposed to be their own thing? 6-7 strikes from McGregor while you're in SUB Sprawl, especially after a denied takedown that takes out 20%-30% of your Stam, it's extremely damaging.

There also needs to be some more respect for Chad Mendes health stats.

His TKO losses are to McGregor and Edgar, that's it.

He had a FOTY with José Aldo that was an absolute war.

I'm glad he got the stand up buffs and everything, but his health stats should be at least similar to Aldo's maybe a point or two less.

                              Edit:

Conor McGregor has a 98 Leg Strength in LW, 96 in FW.
                              94 Body Strength. (FW)
                              94 Chin.

The chin is fine, he took some big shots from Mendes so I'm okay with that.

But his FW + LW Body and Leg Strength stats should be the same as his Welterweight Stats.
94 Body Strength? No wonder it feels like hitting a brick wall.
96(FW)/98(LW) Leg Strength? No wonder I can't out leg kick McGregor with Rafael Dos Anjos. And RDA has straight brutalized people with Leg kicks.
