The CFL - Maximum Football 2018 (CPU vs CPU)

CFL 2018 Season - On Maximum Football 2018

    League Type: CFL 9
    Quarters: 7 Minute
    Penalties: Fair
    Rosters: Stock (initially)

Purpose: I've used to play FPS Football way back in the day. Since then I've always wanted a sandbox football game where I could run a small CPU vs CPU league. This games fits the bill decently with 4 games per week in the 9 team setup. I work from home and will likely run the games in the background during the week while I work. I don't expect to watch the games closely. We're going to play this season out and see what happens.

Future Ideas: If any interested is generated in the thread I may have a few ideas for player edits and roster movement after the initial season. Perhaps with feedback and input from our fans. However, this won't be super flashy as I don't want the project to be super time consuming. Maybe I'll even steam a game or two at some point.

Saskatchewan's QB Hilburn on a passing clinic in this game with 5 TD's. Pultz pulled in 5 receptions for 170 yards and a touchdown. Ottawa struggled to do anything in the first three quarters. They found themselves down 27-7 with their oly points coming on a very long pick 6 by Rathman. The Lumber Jacks rallied to make it 21-27 with a minute and a half to go. The tight game didn't stop the Knights from marching down the field to put another TD on the board with no time remaining. There might be bad blood between the teams after how this game ended.

No plan to rename them as the actual CFL teams? If I'm not mistaken we can edit the names. It's been a fun game so far as a player, it's not bad at all especially considering the price point. I enjoy having an option for CFL.

Nah, I’m not super familiar with the CFL. Fictional teams and rosters are fun and I’m too lazy to go through all the edits. Agree the game is pretty fun for 17 bucks. It nice to play any different football game these days.

          Week 2

I'll probably be simulating more CPU vs CPU games once my MLB the Show season comes to a conclusion.

Edmonton's offense looks unstoppable. Hamilton might be the worst team in the league.
