Great win over the Aggies.. That's a huge "MO" boost for the team.. Would be amazing to see you vs Alabama for a SEC title game. Towles seems to be a very good fit for the Air Raid and getting that overall bump at the beginning of the year has really payed off.

Re: Around the League: Week 8

Huge win over my guy Johnny Football knocking off the top team in the land! Kentucky really making a big run this season and despite all the coverage of the signings you're making, it will be interesting to see how much longer Jax hangs around Big Blue nation. Great stretch of games for you so far. Seems like the yardage numbers are still fairly high, is the defense seeming to just be opportunistic or what would you attribute the success to?

Way too early to call it but you could have two #1 matchups in one season. Great win and a great game by your QB outplaying Manziel. Would’ve been top rated TV! A lot of undefeateds out there so 2 losses hurts but the BCS works in mysterious ways lol

Exactly, if we didn't get that QB buff we would be seriously struggling, especially with thee type of offense that Neal and Stoops run.

Yeah, honestly the defense isn't doing bad especially with running QB's. If they scramble our LB's are quick and are ready for that. If they stay in the pocket that is where he have issues because we aren't getting enough defensive penetration and our cornerbacks aren't the best in man coverage.
Our success has been from an offensive standpoint for sure! Towles getting that boost in the offseason has really helped propel this team. Without that our offensive style, Air Raid, brought by Neal and Stoops would not be as successful. Our best WR is 87 overall and everyone else is below 80.
Jax is currently fielding offers from other teams, he really wants to put his own spin on a team, but currently UK has been talking about keeping him on board, but we will see!

Yeah, the two losses hurt. We lost the opening game to Louisville because of a 99-yard kick return touchdown. If we stopped that we would have won. Our remaining opponents sit at 5-3, 5-3 and 4-4. So it may be tough but with this powerful offense led by Towles, we might have a shot at a New Years' bowl!
