I haven’t gotten to play today. Does the new stride timing thing effect timing hitting at all? Is it something where I’m going to have to learn to play the game all over again? I don’t really know what they mean by that.

Why not just use the d-pad method?

Does that for sure not trigger the bug? I can try, but that method also for years would cause my relievers to enter the game with a third of their stamina missing and their Confidence at about 10% without any discernible reason. I basically have PTSD with that damn bug at this point since it's been in the game for almost a decade now.

Did you actually have a game freeze after the patch? Or are you just saying that because it wasn't in the patch notes. Just because it's not in the notes doesn't mean it's not fixed.

There are multiple threads in the official MLB The Show forums about this with SDS reps responding that it's being looked at, so if it was fixed and they didn't include it in the patch notes that would be very surprising. Time is too valuable to me to further waste on games that I've invested 30 or more minutes into that get bugged before completion. I need assurance this issue is fixed before I play again.

Is there a specific scenario that triggers the pause menu freeze or is it simply just trying to sub a player or pitcher from the pause instead of the D-Pad functionality?

I’ve been a D-Pad guy for years now so I haven’t had the bug and don’t really know what I’m looking for, but if it’s something I can trigger just trying to sub in the first inning or something I’m willing to fire up a game and test it out.

I've been using the DPAD method for years and have yet to see that unless I leave my relievers warming up too long without putting them on Ready And Waiting.

The DPAD method from the testing we did earlier did not cause the bug.

urghhh. top of the 8th in a 3-2 game with 2 on the bases and one out.

i got walked and it did the auto ask me if i wanted to sub for a runner. and the game locked up on me, kicked me back out to the xbox menus.

tragic.


first freeze i've ever had. i'm a d-pad for subs guy... but it was taken out of my hands when it asked me if i wanted to auto sub a runner. it's crucial. an hour or so into a game and then you get finger-banged back to the menus.


are we allowed to say finger-banged if you used in the correct context?

One BIG addition that I think slid under the radar:

The In-Game Ticker now works in Road to the Show. I've admittedly missed a few editions over the years, but I don't recall EVER seeing that.

I’ve had the game freeze on me on the loading screen but still haven’t experienced a freeze due to sub /bullpen menus.

I’m noticing that the CPU is striking out more and chasing more out of the zone since patch 9.. their chase rate before was consistently around 30% which is league average, but now they are low to mid 40%..
anyone else notice a difference ?

I wish they would update Jesse Winker. His lack of long hair and awful face scan drives me crazy.

They need too update him hopefully in the next update they have another round of players updated

I've noticed a slight uptick, but it seems more inline with avg MLB totals of around 8 per game.

That would be ok if the rest of the league average was 8 in franchise.. but it’s lower so you end up leading the league in Ks by a wide margin. I just wish they disclosed any change to CPU hitting in patch notes.. I wouldn’t have updated

I haven't noticed any changes to CPU hitting.

Jordan cleats have High and Low top version, so why can't the Huraches? There's no reason we can't have High and Low versions for cleats.

Or if they don't want to add the Low top version for Huraches allow us to take that ugly *** strap thing off the High version..... Low top Huraches look so awesome, it's a shame we can't replicate in the game.

It’s more than likely because it’s the only Jordan cleat in the game. When they added the Low originally, they just had the 1 and kept it that way until they added the 5. But traditionally they usually only use one version of each.

It also depends on their agreement with the brand. Nike/Jordan is essentially the same I’d assume for getting rights and all that, so don’t think that would be a reason, but could factor into it. Just saying if they were going to add the Lows, they’d be in by now.

I do hope they add the updated Jordan 11s now that they’ve been released, but for some reason I doubt they will make it in.
