MLB the Show 25 Scouting Tool

Hello Show community, I was wondering if anyone was interested in trying a scouting tool that I have created on Google sheet. I've been playing franchise for some years now and it's been much better UI lately but there are still things I want. Such as being able to compare 2 prospects side by side, maybe seeing where a player's ranges were pre-scout compared to after I've scouted. This spreadsheet took some time and it's not perfect. I think there are more things I can do to perfect this especially with the community's help. This is just for those who like to really take a deep dive as a gm and have a Sheet to help you make a more informed decision when drafting. On the first sheet is the ceiling page. This is where you enter any prospect that you are about to scout. Input all of their ceiling values. You will also enter their vital info such as age, position, class and Dr exam. Mlb the show's ranges for prospects are determined by their class. So a high school prospect whom you haven't scouted yet will always have a range of 35. A 4yr SR unscouted will have a range of 14. The more you scout them the closer those ranges get. I have input this info into the sheet so that once you enter the ceiling values of a prospect the next sheet is a floor sheet so you have an idea of how boom or bust the player is. This info will automatically update even after you change values of a prospect on the 1st page. The 3rd sheet is a comparison sheet. You can enter a prospects name and all of their info (ceiling and floor) will appear and this page allows you input and compare up to 5 prospects side by side to make a more informed decision. You can even insert charts to get a better visual of certain attributes that you want to lock in on. I will insert some screenshots from a test franchise I'm doing now just to give you guys an idea. Let me know if you're interested

These are just examples of the type of info you're getting. It's color coded to give you an easy quick view of elite, above average, average, below average or well below average values at a given attribute

I also have my own worksheet for scouting. It’s given me such unfair advantage during the draft that I now have to put limits for myself so I don’t just keep getting the best players all the time. I started based on their ceilings but then found it more accurate to work from their current ranges and forecast what their growth was likely to be. Wish SDS could add a difficulty adjustment to make the CPU teams smarter about who they draft.

Ok yea when I say ceiling i mean the higher number from the attributes they currently have. I don't do anything with the projected attributes

Sorry I hadn't been in here in a minute. Yea I'm gonna send that 1. I ended up making another spreadsheet that'll help u keep up with your roster and give u a lay out for the offseason of what u need to address

U can put as much info in there as u want or as lil. Just enter all the info that u want on the ceiling page. The floor page will automate for u. On the comparison page u just enter the prospect's name and the attributes u entered will appear. Let me know what u like and don't like. I'm finishing up this other spreadsheet. I'll post that in here tonight or tomorrow

This is the 2nd spreadsheet that I have. This 1 gives u a broad look at your depth chart for each level on the first page. The 2nd page puts everybody into their positional groups so u can have an outlook by position. This page averages the overalls of the entire position as well as the average potential. I just used the minimum of what it would take to get to each letter grade (A=90, B=80, C=70 etc.). Then there's a strength score that combines these 2 averages and weighs potential slightly more only because young guys in your organization would typically have a low Ovr so potential would mean more. This bar that has these scores are color coded so that u can look at quick glance and see "hey I'm weak at this position." I'm still kinda fine tuning some things on this page but I promise this 1 will be out by the end of the week. Also on the first page there are some columns to help see if a player is providing quality compared to their contract and there's a BABIP column in there to see if hitters are performing.

Ok this is my franchise overview sheet. I made a 3rd page that showed impending free agents now. It also has 3 tables for team stats that have the same color coding as the first 2 pages to let you know what u your team excelled at and where u might need to improve. When u get to the end of the year you should enter team stats and a number of the metrics will automate. If u click a cell and see a formula then that stat will automatically input the value based on other stats. Enjoy

No problem. I've just become addicted to spreadsheets with my sports games as of late lol. I put things in here that I wanted to keep up with but I would love feedback. If there are some things that you notice as you use either sheet please let me know things that could be better or things you would like to see in there. I hope you enjoy them. I'm thinking of making a roster spreadsheet for cfb 26 and madden as well. We'll see how much people enjoy this tho

Thanks for the scouting spreadsheet. I'll use it next season. I'm a scouting nerd and this will help. In case you don't know you can figure out the exact attributes for every fully scouted player if you save the original unscouted file and compare it to the fully scouted file with a little simple math.
