Suddenly can't pitch, or hit? Just me? Help?

Not sure what happened, maybe an update that tweaked under the hood stuff?

Suddenly can't get for the life of me in chise. Didnt touch any sliders, have the same players. Have played 5 straight games, and mustered 12 total hits. 2 were xbh, zero dingers. Seems im hitting WAY more pop flies, and foul tips, both despite good or near perfect timing.

Meanwhile, my pitchers combined era over the same 5 games is 7.49. Nothing changed, except the cpu to me at least is getting more bloop hits, followed by no doubt hr's.

I hope this isn't just me being dramatic.

I will preface this by saying that it will probably even out as I play more games. But I played 3 games today (in Spring Training, so using some backups, as is the CPU). But I too had a really hard time today. I played 3 games today, pitched well in 1 (4-hit shutout), but gave up 24 runs in a game and 13 runs in another today. Just got hammered. And didn't even notice until I went back and checked, since I was focused on how bad my pitching was, but I only scored 5 runs on 13 hits (3 HR) in those 3 games combined.

      1. I raked in my game today: 8 runs, 15 hits.
      2. Playing 5 straight games is a horrible idea in my experience. Very challenging to maintain the patience and focus required to have a good experience when you're marathoning like that.
      Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.

I would just keep playing it out and see how things look after at least a month of games. Just could be a rough stretch for the team that will eventually swing the other way.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Its how I play. I always play two series in a row, and have never had this bad of a stretch.

Im not world tier in terms of skill as I use timed hitting on Vet+, it just doesn't feel the same.

Nothing with the gameplay has changed. That’s just baseball.

I’ve had series where I hit and pitched well. Then I’ve had others where I was terrible. It evens out over time, but just have to chalk it up to what it is. Baseball is a tricky and streaky sport and it’s replicated as such in The Show.

I've never found a sweet spot with hitting.

I've had stretches with '25 where I just get tattooed... but I'm also, "oh well, damage done, lets get this last out" guy.. also playing DD, so you get the juiced guys with 118 contact and power ratings.

You're right, I was just making sure at the end of the day that it's just in my head, and not a change in coding that I wasn't aware of.

I just finished a 3 game series where I averaged 1.2 runs per game. First game of the next series I blasted for 4 runs in the top of the 1st. Enjoy the unpredictability!

I've gone thru extended periods where I couldn't hit OR pitch but not both at the same time. Usually my slumps are in hitting but occasionally my pitching stinks too and it seems like no sequence of my pitches is the right call. I'd blame my catcher but I don't really rely on his choice pitch selection. When I get in hitting slump, sometimes the only way I can get out of it is to take a couple days break away from MLBTS.

I too have taken a short break.

Spent the day in Minneapolis to catch a Twins-Jays game, and will jump on first thing when I get up (hopefully before my kids do), and play a game or two.

Past week has been absoluitely horrible. I went thru a season in RTTS on my RF and ended the year with 215 Ks lol hitting around 210. I just started the new season with 49 PAs...4 hits...28 Ks. This after the previous season hitting .320

I am done playing for a good month
