Searching the thread - maybe I missed it - but does the patch require a restart or will it be applied to existing franchises?

I'm pretty sure the only reason you'd ever have to restart an existing franchise is if you wanted new players from a roster update

The only one I noticed with a likeness update was Jose Siri on the Mets

it was probably the easiest one to do "Hey Siri, update yourself"

It requires a restart if you want the accurate start times for the 4 teams impacted by that issue for the first season. Otherwise no reason to restart.

They tarped off Fenway CF as well, as it should be during day games! It will be nice to be able to see the ball again haha.

really starting to lose hope on the mariners nintendo patch making it into the game. i thought the switch 2 patch was gonna be a real long shot, but the normal nintendo patch seems so too

My guess is it has something to do with PlayStation and Xbox not wanting a Nintendo ad in their versions of the game. But that’s merely a guess.

I checked on my Switch version and even there no Nintendo ad patch.

That makes zero difference...San Diego Studio is a subsidiary of Sony Interactive Entertainment / PlayStation Studios. The whole game is Sony IP.

it is prob more of the sony telling SDS not to rather than both console makers overall. back when the seattle sounders had xbox as a kit sponsor, the xbox logo would appear on the kits in fifa, but since the game was made by EA they weren't being hounded by their bosses also being the console makers.

Personally I would be happy not to have an add on the uniform. I’m not happy that Major League Baseball allows adds on any uniform. Cheapens the look.

I guess the hopeful thinking would be that, because it's another company in the video game space, there's just some extra paperwork and double-checking to make sure everyone's cool with it being added to the game.

Can't say I care much about ad patches in general but for the sake of accuracy hopefully they can get it in there.

Also PlayStation was an ad in the XBox version of Champions League.

That’s great news! I love all those extra’s they never mention in the patch notes. Now I wonder if it’s again locked to also night games…going to check tonight.

Looks like they put a delay on the HR distance meter and it no longer pops where the ball lands, so you can actually see the HR. Well done SDS !
