What sports games were ever bug free at launch? Even in the days before internet connected consoles and patches games were bugged.

Well, I can tell you one part of the game that is absolutlely broken and I don't believe anyone could argue with it, the stadium creator. Nearly a month into the early access launch and still does not work.

The game being broken and a small aspect of the game not working is 2 different things…….. we just love talking in hyperbole in here these days was my point

It's the social media, influencer factor. So lame.

SDS's schedule this year is problematic

Respectfully, the other side continues to excuse and make excuses for things that should’ve been caught in early QA. Early QA. Makes you wonder if the devs actually play the game.

The lack of an opening day roster update, whether you use it or not, as some claim they don’t care, is disgraceful. If the team really did take the week off, they should rethink their timing.

Sadly, I think some people have lowered their expectations and think that some small changes are enough to make them happy, when the reality is, this is 2025, and expecting more (much more) is not asking too much.

Hyperbole, as you mention, is more from the absolute shock of some of the legacy issues (which I give credit as they have made some nice moves to fix some lately), missed opportunities of proper QA and innovation, and lack of communication sometimes. I play Diamond Dynasty (but mostly franchise) and understand it makes them the most money, but don’t neglect your “base” of most loyal fans that have been around for a long time just for the sake of profits.

              Just my $.02

The "absolute shock"? Talk about hyperbole.

Personally I don't care about the opening day roster as my franchise is already started but I agree no opening day roster by now is a swing and a miss for them.

I guess “shocking” or “surprising” or “inconceivable” are not fair labels? I’d disagree. It’s not asking too much after all these years to see some progress. It’s not like the tools aren’t there. It’s seemingly a huge lack of effort, on the surface. But ultimately is mismanagement from the suits.

Where I differ is that if the game completely didn’t work and was filled with actual game breaking bugs, then I’d agree that it’s ridiculous and worth making a huge deal about. However the game works and we can play games, both online and offline.

Should the other issues be raised and resolved and people be a little annoyed that they released with some easy fixes? Absolutely and I agree 100%. Same with the opening day roster, although that’s not as big of a deal for me I understand that it does impact plenty around here.

But I think people are getting carried away by acting like the game wasn’t playable at all and it should be bug free from launch when no game has ever worked that way. What’s important to me is that they notice those bugs (whether raised by the community or found on their own) and are actually consistently fixing them in a quick manner. Outside of Stadium Creator, they’ve done that pretty quickly so I have faith that they’ll continue to fix any new bugs that pop up based on what they’ve shown so far. If they don’t continue that, then my opinion will change.

                        You are wrong.
They make the same 'baseball game' every year
They use existing assets, and the same engine
So why do they keep making the same mistakes?
What are you talking about fixing quickly?
Ticker bugs are almost an annual thing.
There were no frame issues last year when hair physics were added
So why are there this year?
They even focused more on the release platform and failed
Graphics are a bit better, but not enough to cause frame drops
What the hell are they working on?

They worked real hard on those jackets that the 3rd base coach wears even in 100 degree weather in august lol
