SDS's schedule this year is problematic

First off, the fact that there is still no opening day roster is a huge problem.

The peak of sports games is short

1 year? No . Most users play for at most 6-7 months

But we already spent 1 month with an 'incorrect' roster

    And we paid full price.

Also, this year's updates (i.e. likeness, bug fixes, etc.) are slower than in other years.

They said they fixed the frame drops, but please test it

I still experience frame drops under some conditions (It got better)

I think they have internal issues Why?

Tomoyuki Sugano is not on the default/live roster yet, but his pitching form has been updated recently
(look for it in the pitching list)

Are we in a situation where we are buying shoes for an unborn baby?

I don't know why the roster update is delayed.

But there is definitely a problem with their schedule this year.

Its days like these I'm glad the AAA, AA and Single A default rosters are all real players. I'm a default fan now. Other than tweaking a few things, I just jump right in and enjoy base ball straight away. AFAIC every roster is obsolete as soon as its updated anyway. A roster is a living breathing apparatus and any roster we decide to use is static in a fluid world. I say screw FOMO and get busy ballin'.
    T-BONE.

    Talking about things nobody cares.

I would be doing the same thing, if there were an Opening Day roster that actually had all the Major League players on it . . .
      Texas Rangers/Chicago Cubs
      Dallas Cowboys
      San Antonio Spurs

I have several franchises on the go and am having a blast but if an updated roster releases soon I will probably start another.

        I may have a problem.
        MLB: TORONTO BLUE JAYS
        NFL: MINNESOTA VIKINGS
        NHL: TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS

Not saying what should or shouldn't be but buying sports games at release isn't for everyone. There ends up being things you have to accept whether you like it or not.

Same! I usually start with default rosters in Spring Training. But this year I bought late so I went with whatever was there on opening day and just started in the regular season. Once I get going it becomes my own fantasy world anyway… my own W-L record, own injuries, own trades, own call ups and send downs, etc.

The game hasn’t been out a month yet and they’ve released 7 game updates already. MLB teams haven’t even played 15 games yet. I wish we got an opening day roster earlier, but I think we’re being a bit dramatic by saying it’s problematic.

                Well, let's talk

First of all, you already said update 7
There's no content, no meaning, no solution. This year
Bugs still remain, frame drops still remain

Did you play 24? The patch notes up to update 7 of 24 were much more progressive.
What matters to us is not the number of updates
It's the fixes and real solutions. Isn't it?

If you want to ignore the OP roster and bugs for almost a month and call it a 'card trading game', then the $70 price tag is meaningless.

Just buy it when the sale starts a few months later and play it for a little while.

Why should I give a positive review to a lazy developer?

If you don’t count the games in Japan, the season basically started a couple fo weeks ago. Plus didn’t someone confirm a roster update is dropping tomorrow?

I haven’t had any frame drop issues, but that’s because I’m on XBSX. My XBSS is improved since the last patch but still has some issues.

Also every game today has bugs in it, especially at release. They added a bunch of features in this year for Franchise and RTTS compared to previous years and fixed plenty of bugs in the first 3-4 weeks, specifically with the latest update.

Nothing wrong with calling out the issues and asking for some different updates, but saying they are lazy when they’ve fixed plenty of issues and added more to the game than the last 5 years is a bit much.

Hopefully you're reporting these bugs to either make the team aware of them or give them more info to help nail down the causes.

I’ve said in this in other threads, but I am going to say it again.

If you buy a modern sports game on release and complain about the bugs and issues like you shouldn’t expect them, then you are the fool who’s $70 (or more) was easily parted with.

Exactly this, things won’t change until people stop pre ordering and buying the game when it’s broken . Can guarantee they’ll work on bugs before the release when it hits them in their pockets.

It is certainly interesting that the roster schedule is beginning to mirror the old release schedule for OSFM 🧐
