Xbox X series input lag in franchise mode

Hey! anyone got any advice how to reduce input lag on X series.

i just "upgraded" from my s series ... and the timing is all out. using meter pitching it seems to nail the top location, but the bottom (accuracy) location is always late unless i really adjust things to go early.

and batting. it's like the A button doesn't work, it's so behind.

i can move my tv down from 4k to 1040p ... but it seems a shame to sacrifice graphics for something like this.

has anyone else encountered this? what were the fixes?

What TV do you have? Input lag should be the same on both consoles as long as you are using the same settings. I play on 4k for XBSX and have no issues currently since I’ve upgraded my TV.

I still use my XBSS on my old TV but have to play on 1080p because the input lag on that TV is pretty bad.

If it’s new, it shouldn’t be a problem. I’d probably go check out something on YouTube for best settings for gaming for XBSX on it then. That’s what I did for my C2 and it worked like a charm after I made a few adjustments. Not as familiar with your TV so not sure what would be the best settings.

thanks man ... that's great advice. i'll go check out YT now!

i hope i don't have to switch it down to 1080p and sacrifice some graphics for responsive controls.

You shouldn’t. I run my XBSX on 4k/120hz and don’t have any issues with any input lag for MLBTS or any other game. So once you get your settings lined up, you should be good to go.

Id see if Rtings has any calibration settings for your tv. I have used them for years.

My Series X last year drove me crazy with FPS and lag issues, I bought a new tv over it and everything, I recently bought the PS5 pro and it’s buttery smooth now [emoji2371]

fixed it man! found some random reddit thread with this tv. buried deep in the settings was the hdmi channel setting and changing the setting to "edid 2.0" instead of auto detect.

wild. but it's all g now

are you using dolby vision instead of regular HDR by any chance?

I have an older c7, and DV makes it unplayable but with regular HDR it's perfect

                      yeah, totally. using dolby vision.

i think with those settings i changed, by default dolby vision is off and it's regular hdr.

                      that's super interesting!
