Would allow much better uniform deformation and realism.
How many games do you think build actual full bodies underneath a character's clothing?

Madden uses Sapien tech they built, so their players have living hearts and intestines.

Nowadays I’d say probably a good amount? At least I’d hope so. It is 2025 after all. But MLB hasn’t done much graphically in 15 years

I see this bandied about so too often but looking at the leap from MLBTS16 to MLBTS22 is still impressive IMO.

Lighting seems to be about the only thing changed drastically though. And additional crowd generation for less repeats.
But there’s too much bloom in the lighting and the crowd still looks like it did, just more people variation now. Gameplay though is still top tier for sports gaming so at least we’ve got that going.

They also changed the surface textures back in MLB 17 and have continually added to that since. It’s not pushing the envelope graphically by any means, but as you said, the gameplay is extremely solid.

One thing I can’t stand this year is how much the dirt is flying around. They waaaay overdid it. Ball is pitched, taken by batter, baserunners retreat to bases…dirt flying into the coaches box. Craziness.

Do they have souls? Do their feelings get hurt when I DFA them? Apparently I have alot to think about now
