This exactly. People keep shooting me down when I say it may be unfixable. But I play a lot of sports games other than the show, and over the last 5 years there has been a lot of staple features that have been removed from other games because they broke it, and don’t know how to fix it. The stadium creator web might be more tangled than we know. If they can’t fix it why would they keep including it in the game?

I know I’ve been using the EA NHL example but I think it was an apt one. A few years ago there was syncing issue that caused players online and off to get stuck in an endless syncing loop. They figured out it was the presentation overlays causing it. They kept trying to fix it, and even claimed in some patches that it was “fixed” when it was not. So EA NHL completely removed all broadcast style presentation form their game, except for a few generic team entries. Presentation should be a baseline inclusion in a sports game, but you know what? A funny thing happened. People didn’t stop playing the game. So what did EA do? They said screw it “, fixing the presentation is not worth the hassel and it’s been gone going on 3 years now. Unless people stop buying the game en masse, it may not make financial sense for them to keep including it. They might have added something this year that may require the feature to be rebuilt from the ground up. SDS might figure it’s not work the hassel. Of course I will be more than happy to have to eat my words if it gets fixed. I am hoping I am wrong.

They’ve been putting some more presentation stuff back into NHL, especially now that they fully moved on Frostbite and that’s a key component. But EAFC did the same thing with pre-game intros and a lot of people complained, so they put it back in.

I know this site is only the minority of the people that play the game, but a lot of people outside of here use stadium creator so it’s definitely a priority for them to get it fixed, especially because it was a 3 year project for them just to get it into the game. Every issue can be fixed, it’s just a matter of how long it takes to identify and fix the problem and whether or not it’s worth it to spend that time fixing it instead of just removing it.

I wouldnt be surprised if this is the end of the road for Stadium Creator, if they cant figure it out. Sometimes these things become too complex to keep around and less expensive to kill it than solve it. They regrettably had to kill Y2Y carry-over saves. I'm sure if it hadnt been so hard to keep Y2Y they would have rather kept it too.

2. They didn’t kill Y2Y saves. Not sure why you said that. It’s an issue they are trying to fix.

I guess I shouldn't view Sounds of the Show any different than the way it was up to MLBTS20. They would like to still have it fully functional even tho its not. Still, because they would like to have it, that's the same as having it. Carry-over saves are in 21 to 25 so I'm not sure either why I said it was dead. I guess I misspoke. And setting ticket prices and funding stadium upgrades are still there too. They just have it set where you cant view them.

Stadium Creator on the other hand has no console limitations like SOTS and it is immensely popular. It will be here for the long haul and hopefully receive a major upgrade now that a new Switch is coming in time for next years game.

Sounds of the show is completely different. PlayStation doesn’t allow you to upload mp3 files like PS3 and PS4 did so they had no choice but to remove that. Stadium Creator on the other hand has no console limitations like SOTS and it is immensely popular. It will be here for the long haul and hopefully receive a major upgrade now that a new Switch is coming in time for next years game.

Even PS5 isn't completely devoid of using music files. You can play PS4 era Show's on the PS5 with sots. What the devs would have to do is set it up where the PS5 games were masked as ps4 games. But they aren't going to do that because Sony intentionally wanted to move away from that direction. Stadium creator absolutely has console limitations. You can't create a stadium on the Nintendo version of MLBTS25.

I’m aware you can’t create a stadium in Switch that’s not what I meant. The older tech from Switch 1 has held Sony back from improving the next gen version of Show for a few years now. It’s honestly a shame because with PS5 tech they should be able to improve the graphics to look much better than they do now.

Y2Y saves refers to transferring your franchise or RTTS save from previous version to current version which has been gone since’21.

What SDS Is currently working on is the vault for created stadiums

They have acknowledged the issue and I have been putting out quotes. I am as frustrated as you are but they have acknowledged the problem and are actively trying to fix it.

It is obviously a much bigger problem than a server issue. I am sure they want to solve the problem and not just put out a quick fix that doesn't solve the problem.

A simple post or youtube video would have helped. SDS has no idea how to communicate.

Yeah, I think they had their house in better order when Russell_SCEA was running point on the community team, much better communication then. Brand Strategist for Russell was a nice promotion with a fancy title, but SDS was a stronger team back in the day IMO. Maybe they should give his old job back and let him keep his new job, and double his salary.

Not much of an update that makes me feel they're getting close unless I missed something in the link. All I saw was them saying they were working on it, which is what they've been saying since launch.

Please let me know what I missed.

You're right. Between the post you quoted and the Reddit link, "getting very close to a fix", "currently in the process of being fixed", and "will be in a future game update" are all reading much more into it than the SDS guy actually said.

I didn't take it from that post that they were getting close to a fix at all. Just that they are working on a fix for it, which we've known for a while.

The message from SDS says the fix will be in AN update, not the next update. A number of updates have already come and gone.

Right now many, like me, are just hoping that the Stadium Creator Vault can be made once again to work properly. It was because of Stadium Creator that I bought my PS5 so I could utilize it within franchise.

The first two years a lot of progress was made with this feature. And then progress basically stopped other than the addition of some additional props, some of which were interesting and some of which were not. The community was asking for a number of improvements, but nothing came of them. In this regard there is an excellent YouTube video, the link to which can be found in The Show.com Forums, Official Bugs and Issues with Stadium Creator, post #92.

There are a lot of us who wish that improvements would have continued to be made to Stadium Creator, but right now it looks like all we can hope for is that SDS gets the current version with the vault working again.
