They updated part of LF section, added the scoreboard above the batter’s eye (although it’s blank), and seems like they cleaned up some of the buildings in the backdrop. It’s very minimal, but they are definitely working on updates at least.

Same thing just happened to me. Paused to check opponents bullpen and when I tried to back out back into the game it froze on the pause screen. Now I am paranoid that this is definitely a bug from the new update.

Hi, same here. Happened to me yesterday post-update in 2 consecutive franchise pre-season games.

I know it's probably just me, but I don't care that much about the jackets, or what the base coaches even look like. I hardly even pay attention to them.

I think at the end of the day, we all want the same thing in different ways... just like guys want to see updated player appearance like the Yankees players having facial hair.. There are some of us who also would appreciate if they go as far as putting accurate names on most of the coaches that appear in the game, and then they'd at least give them the correct physical appearance. They've done it before with updates after release, so the expectation to do it again in this situation isn't unrealistic. And having the 3rd base coach in a pullover in July is just annoying to see..I agree editing players & coaches much like how 2k does it would be awesome and take that burden off of the team.

I've never run into this issue until yesterday after I installed this new patch. I made it all the way until the bottom of the 9th, with my White Sox actually winning(!), and I went to my bullpen to bring in a new pitcher and wham, the this bug happens. The game is playing in the background but I couldn't get off the pause screen.

The names and likeness for coaches they need to get individually, that’s why they don’t have them all.

I had this exact same thing happen to me last night. I had never experienced it before. Unfortunately, it was the top of the 9th, I was on the mound, 1-1 count, 2 runners on with 2 outs, and a 1-run lead.

I had this happen to me once pre-patch. I had just completed warm up throws after bringing in a reliever. I haven't seen it since.

Should be noted I don't use the start button pause menu to warm up or bring in relievers i use the dpad option.

This has made the game pretty much unplayable for me until they patch it. Seems to always happen in the late innings, 7th-8th-9th.

Yeah I've yet to have a freeze using the DPAD to open the bullpen and manage it. I hope that's the easy fix.

Ok, I can confirm this seems to work just finished my first full game (after 4-5 tries) since the update on Tuesday.

i submitted a report after this happened to me after the last update. so for now this workaround should help as it it 100% should be worked on right away.

i knew somethin was off when this happened since i never get freezes till this. and i swear this exact bug has been a problem before in past editions. maybe even last years. anyone else remember this?
the game freezing when accessing the bullpen using the puase menu, but in later innings or extras. mine was extra innings but it appears its more often.

I wish they would fix Jesse Winker! I just can't with his short hair in Franchise.

I remember they had added McCutchen with short hair after he had long hair for years .. Let’s hope it’s updated on the next update..

It depends. Took Genesis Cabrera till maybe like one of the last update of the year to finally get his hair cut when it’s already been cut prior to beginning of the year.

• Fixed an issue where correctly guessed pitches were not landing in the intended zone while using the guess pitch feature.
• Resolved an issue in online play where players could not access the bullpen menu after their opponent performed very specific steps.
• Fixed one issue where the pause menu could remain on screen while the game was playing in the background.
• Updated stats in the pause menu to display as PA – AVG – HR – RBI – SB instead of the previous format (PA – AVG – RBI – H – HR).
• Fixed various input issues in the pause menu.

• Marketplace buy/sell order limit for player items at 90-95 OVR has been increased from 500,000 to 750,000.
