RTTS created player perk boost question

First of all there is no separate RTTS subforum right like there is for franchise or am I missing something?

Anyway I’ve got a question regarding the perks and equipment. Does the equipment this year only give you a boost when a perk is active? Like for instance with diamond batting glove you only get the 3% hitting boost when a hitting perk is active?

Having said that since a few days I get like a maximum of 1 point boosts even if there are multiple perks active and I got mostly diamond equipment where last week I got like 10+ points boosts on various attributes…?

Did they change something with a patch or am I missing something?

    Thanks!

Re: RTTS created player perk boost question

Ok I’ll continue my own investigation, I deleted all the equipment of my created RTTS player and all attributes (perks activated) stayed exactly the same so this must be a bug right? Otherwise what’s the purpose is all the equipment ?!

And like I said before I had like 10+ boosts on some attributes because of some diamond equipment here and there…

It seems like us RTTS players are a bunch of introverts-over the years I've had the hardest times getting the simplest questions answered-and not just this forum either.
It's not me either-I have good responses across the internet on other topics.
I wish I could help you but I'm still playing 24.

          Looks like it yeah haha.
          Anyway here goes nothing.
          I’ve got another example.
At this picture it shows I get a +5 power and +4 clutch for this at bat:

The I press pause to see if it reflects in my attributes and then it shows only +3 power:

So is this system totally flawed/bugged or am I just not understanding this whole perk/equipment system this year?

These attribute boosts are more due to your relationships with other players.

If you're at bat, they apply to you. If you're on base, they apply to the current batter.

Basically, just keep playing and your relationship with your teammates will always get stronger--especially if they're involved in the play, or are your team's current pitcher. I don't think I've ever seen a value go down in this game.

Previous games had brief scenes with multiple dialogue choices on how to respond to another player's concerns, which helped boost relationship values further. I miss that feature--though, if I recall, this was also the only way for these values to drop.

Presumably, when a teammate goes to another team whether by trade or free agency, that friendship value becomes a rival value, and I have yet to have this happen, so I don't know what would happen there.

In other words, the longer he's on the team with you, the higher the value, and the stronger the boost.

I'm a catcher on the Marlins right now, and I maxed out my value with Dillon Head because he followed me up from the minors, and his friendship value came with him!

            Only applies in RTTS.

The way I understand it, your equipment only boosts your perks. For instance, you may have a perk that raises your contact when you're losing in the 7th inning. Your equipment will boost this perk by like 5 percent if it's silver equipment, 10 percent if it's gold etc. When you look at your equipment it will tell you something like, "boosts all offensive perks by 6 percent." So you won't see the boosts on your attributes as the effect only happens when your perks activate in game.

I haven't figured out if it's worth putting points into perks to increase these effects because it also means points that you aren't raising your attributes. I think the question is does boosting perks and then adding equipment make you perform so much better that you'll be earning more points through your game-play to make it worth the price? Am not sure yet.

Hope this helps and isn't too convoluted an explanation.

                Appreciate the explanation!
Wondering this myself to every time I’m distributing my point…should I raise my contact or maybe put some to a perk haha.

Oh wow, I had no idea. This makes a little more sense thanks! Still pretty hard to know exactly what’s boosting what and who’s boosting who. Ok that sounded weird [emoji1]

You had me laught at that one, because it's so true!

I think that RTTS serious players are kind of introverts and since there's no place to gather in here, we hand around, but don't get in much into the conversations.

And that's a fact that you don't find much over the internet about the RTTS and deep dive in the mode. I've been playing that mode only since getting the Show in 2014, and it's more of a "Wait what? Oh, now I get it!" while playing hundreds of hours.

Forgot to mention: The attribute boosts in your second pic, on the player card screen?

Those are how much your attributes have been raised by you in your current season. They are permanent, as far as I'm aware--haven't played far enough into RTTS to get to an aging decline, if there is one.

After each offseason, those green numbers reset, but your attribute increases remain. They're just to show your progress within each season, nothing more.

They're a good thing, but don't worry about them. The situational boosts shown in the first pic are more in line with your question.

That totally makes sense now because my first year I got called up to the Show and became AL rookie of the year so that’s why my attributes were raised so much at the end of the season and gone when I started my 2nd season for the A’s.

                        Thanks!

So explain this, we’re in august and I had some solid (green) attribute numbers as in +5’s and +6’s here and there and from one game to the other they all disappeared…I mean the attributes are still correctly upgraded it just doesn’t show the green numbers again. It started from scratch mid august [emoji2373]

I did edit the appearance of my player, could this be some sort of bug that resets those numbers?

If you edit your player I believe those numbers go away. Do you have a previous save you could back to? Because I'm pretty sure if you edit a player after like June 1st, he stops progressing until the next season. Or progression stops for a long period of time, something like that. It's been in the game for years not sure why.

I don't play RTTS though so maybe its not the same as editing a player in franchise.
