HBP by CPU

Does anyone else get hit incredibly often by the CPU in franchise? It’s May 22nd and my team has been hit 35 times! The next closest team is the Phillies with 14.. Jason Dominguez is a magnet for some reason being hit 12 times already.. any suggestions? Should I raise CPU pitching consistency? I’m hesitant as I find hitting difficult enough on legend so I don’t want to make it harder

I have 24 HBP thru 88 games. This is on default legend hitting.

I say leave things as are as the stats should average out over the course of the season

Yea, not sure how many I have, but I know it's enough that it makes my obp look better since I have a lack of patience, I mean walks

I noticed this early in my franchise. It has evened out as I've continued to play more. Ozzie Albies on my team currently leads the majors with 10HBP in early July. The next closest has 7, so it's not too far off. This has been on Legend hitting with the CPU control/consistency at 6.

I may need to increase their control and consistency then.. since I posted I’ve been hit 4 more times in 3 games.. Jasson Dominguez has been hit 14 times and I’m not done May yet.. could also be tied to their batting stance animations perhaps? jazz is next on my team being hit 8 times already (stance is also close to the plate)

I’m not as deep into my franchise as you, but yeah, the Martian is a magnet for sure. Seems like most of the plunkings happen with two strikes too.

I've definitely noticed more HBP's for my players. A step further...I play as the Cubs and Ian Happ gets hit by pitch pretty often.

edit 2-think i see the problem. Looked at Ian's plsyer card and it shows 3 HBP (after 50 games). I play out almost all games pitch by pitch and he's gotten hit much more than that... I'd say he get's hit every 5 games or so I don't think all HBP's are being counted. . I'll keep a closer eye on it.

I haven't gotten around to start my franchise yet, been messing around in DD and playing Conquest, and it happens quite a bit there as well and more often than not when there are 2 strikes.

On Legend Pitching and Hall of Fame Batting, and both my and the CPU opponents are below league average through the first month, for what it is worth.
