I haven't bought since '20, but a lot of that has to do with their changeover to PS5 and my not purchasing that console.

I won't do yearly purchases of any game franchise anymore though, anyway. I'll only get COD every several years as well, despite them rotating development teams. I appreciate that PYS has two-year development cycles, and I wish sports games did that as a mandate as well (gettng maybe twenty-one months of development instead of nine).

However, until The Show provides me some changes or improvements I've been requesting for more than fifteen years, the Super Mega Baseball franchise keeps my baseball fix going for the time being. I don't miss The Show because it hasn't evolved to my liking or expectation, nevermind the year-to-year releases.

Why have we gone all this time without full A-ball/125-man team rosters?? At the very least, 1 full A-ball team..

XBox release. Would that have been full next gen from the start if they had a little extra time to port the game over?

Carry over saves. Would that innovation had lived on if they had the time to patch it for Switch and X?

Operate at a loss? I read all the time kids drop $1000 on Diamond Dynasty content. Just like the MUT nuts. I don't believe for one second SDS wouldn't remain profitable. To say nothing of paid annual roster updates.

Respectfully, I could not disagree with you more.

Look at CFB. How much time was invested in that release? And for all intents and purposes, they nailed it, from what I've read.
CFB did not nail it. They came out with a solid first release, but most of the positive reviews were due to nostalgia and not having a game for over 10 years. After the first month, it started to show its warts on how barebones it was and how many QOL fixes were needed.

They are addressing some of those things this year so there will be improvements, but most of their improvements are QOL related and not crazy new features. Same has applied to The Show for the last 3 years where most of their fixes are QOL fixes to the base issues that plagued Franchise mode for years.

It’s not perfect and would definitely like to see them continue to improve more, but they seem to have a plan of fixing the old legacy issues first and then adding onto that over the next couple of years.

Fair enough, my mistake. My nephews seem to enjoy it, and the initial reviews I read here were positive.

They didnt nail it but I'd take ten more years of the same as 25 than anything EA did with Madden since 2015. Tha Its just me tho.
