    " no gameplay changes "

Im not sure about this anymore, because my season feels stale as crap!
my first 30 games of the season i was top 5 in BB. In the last 15 games the CPU hasnt walked a single batter while i play, only the odd time i sim an inning. I'm bottom 5 in BBs now.
I haven't committed an error in 20+games or got hit by pitch,
Every 3-0 count turns into strike out or CPU just throws middle plate
The flow of baseball just disappears at this point of my season
I did 2 test games where I wouldn't swing , both games 27ks no walks
I don't really like tweaking sliders, especially with how great it felt in the first 30 games
Also in the last 20 games my era is just over 1, and I'm the Marlins!
it was 4.6 I the first 30 games. Now I'm top 3 pitching team
    Game is really boring LOL

Even so, Default Sliders arent for 100% of players. Probably not even for 75%.
The only way I'm using strictly defaut sliders is on Dynamic Difficulty.
At the very least I would consider tweaking the slider that determines how often the CPU throws outside the strike zone.
I'm never going to lead the league in walks but as long as I'm not dead bottom 30th place last, all is fine for me. And currently, I'm Top Twenty.

    T-BONE.

    Talking about things nobody cares.

I am currently 5th in the league in walks. Which is much higher than I usually am in my franchises over the years. That's with CPU pitching at default except for stamina which I bumped up.

I don't think the CPU works the way you described it. If you don't ever swing, then I think the CPU will eventually just stop throwing balls and its pitching confidence will go way up with every called third strike. I feel like CPU pitching works hand in hand with pitcher confidence, pitcher attributes, and trying to figure out how you are batting.

As far as your team ERA is concerned, I bumped up CPU contact to 10 with everything else at default, and it made pitching much more challenging and satisfying. I am also using the Marlins.

I wish I could take walks. Every year I am 30th in base on balls.

I counter that with being 1st in base on balls allowed.

It’s just 2 aspects of the game I’ve learned to accept.

Gameplay has not changed. Two things have happened though.

          1) Franchise mode hot/cold streaks and player progression make pitchers more OPed as the season goes along.

          2) The more games you play, the better you get against beating the competition. I used to always be top of the league in best ERA and WHIP in my franchise after the all-star break because I was playing 2-3 games a day and knew where to throw on most guys. When I’d take an extended break and come back, I wasn’t as sharp and was giving up some hits and runs that I normally wouldn’t. After playing again for a little while I was right back at it.

The game simulates the ups and downs of a season fairly well, but it’s hard to take into account players getting more comfortable with playing.

I do agree on errors. They’ve improved it when the player is moving, but I wish they made the throw meter even more difficult on those really tough plays and for players with low ratings.

They should add a “Throw Meter difficulty” slider to solve the issue.

Maybe I need to be more aggressive and stop looking for walks, every 3-0 count i never swing. It sounds like the CPU caught on to my tendencies.

I had to change from Button Accuracy to strict Button only, to get player ratings mean more, then I also raised infield throwing errors by one, then decreased infield throwing strength by one.

Another good alternative to make it harder with Button Accuracy is to play it with throwing meter off. I don't playy that way myself but it is an option to at least consider.

Once I stop playing DD and fully move to my franchise, I’ll probably do that. I don’t change it right now because I always forget to change it back during DD games.

I'm in 2027, simulation/DD, I play 1 and then sim the next 5. I play all playoff games and series against teams in my division late in the season if I'm fighting for a playoff spot. I still can draw walks by the CPU pitchers and see errors at a realistic clip. I believe the simming allows for the hot/cold streaks to evolve realistically.

I feel this game does a really solid job with the CPU picking up on your tendencies both pitching and hitting.
