This might be something that has been discussed a while back, but I haven't really gotten to play the game much until recently. I've noticed when batting, right before the pitch occurs, there is a flash and the batter, especially the uniform, brightens. It seems to happen after pitches sometimes as well. I've noticed it on both the PS5 and Xbox Series S. Anyone know what causes it and can it be fixed? It's not a gamebreaker, but it's definitely noticeable and now I see it every time because I guess my OCD is making me look at it. 🙄 I only play exhibition and offline franchise, by the way.

Yeah this has been a thing in the game for a long time. I really hope they can address it at some point because its really distracting once you notice it, and just makes the game feel somewhat unpolished. They've taken some steps forward in visuals in the past couple years with the fields and uniforms, I hope this recurring little lighting bug finally gets ironed out soon. -
I had the same issue with HDR on. Since I disabled HDR for The Show the issue isn't visible or at least it isn't as bad as it was with HDR enabled.Comment

It’s been going on since I can remember, back in the PS3 days probably. It’s just adjusting the lighting/graphics clarity from the setup “cut scene” to the actual gameplay. It’s more noticeable during the later games under certain lighting conditions. But it’s been discussed here for years.Comment
