Best year ever playing this game. (Season Review)

I just finished up my franchise this year as the Atlanta Braves. I came in second place in the division behind the Phillies with a 87- 75 record. I won the first round of the playoffs against the Reds, but lost in the second round to the Phillies, but the entire year had it's up's and downs. My killer was in the playoffs, Ronald Acuna was cold as ice. Ozuna for the entire year hit those long homers but ended the year with a .212 batting average. My starting pitchers era stunk but the bullpen did good. Yes they gave up a a few dingers along the way to blow the save opportunities that they were given them.
My MVP of the team was Austin Riley, he lead the NL in homers with 58. (Judge lead the majors with 62). All season long my weak spot was at SS. Even with Kim coming over late in the season he did not really provide the offensive spark I was hoping for.
Strider was good at times but he was not the Strider of old. Schwellenbach lead the majors in giving up homers with 36 round trippers. He did win 17 games which lead the team in wins. Chris Sale was solid but with a 3.57 era but only won 12 games.
A few good surprises was Drake Baldwin played solid all year and he did not even get mentioned in the rookie of the year, Matt Shaw of the Cubs won that. Baldwin needs more power, he only it 8 homers all year but batted a respectable .279. He played catcher against the righthanders and Murphey against the left handers.
Matt Olsen had a very solid year with 42 homers and 105 rbi's. When he was hot he was hot, when he was cold, well...he was cold.

All in all I enjoyed this year. I played every game and I never felt that the game was scripted to the point of frustration. It felt like real baseball and I had my losing streaks and a few good winning streaks. The players played realistic and I had to overcome my starting pitching lapses all season long. Oh..at the end of the year two pitchers started to shine for me and pushed me into the wildcard playoffs. Bryce Elder came on strong as long as you kept his sinker and slider low in the strike zone. Hurston Waldrep pitched well for a rookie.

I am well leased with the game and how it played. I am giving this years overall experience a solid 8/10. The reason for the 8 downgrade is stealing bases were too easy. Acuna lead the majors with 79 and Harris came in second with 72. ( I adjusted the sliders the best I could to make it a little harder) The other factor I thought that could have been better was my batters were as slow a molasses running to 1st base. It seemed the cpu guys were much faster. It well may because they were just slow but Acuna would be thrown out from a grounder deep in the hole for the ss position almost every time.

I am looking forward to next years game and I will once again play with the Braves,
Great job on a great year of playing this game. I got well more than i paid for the game. I feel I paid pennies on the dollar and that makes it a great investment.
