What is the trick to have not Ohtani pitch in games for the Dodgers? Currently have him in Dodgers bullpen, but I'm guessing he will still get used.
Or maybe there isnt a way to avoid this?
With 30 team control, you can leave him in long relief spot and he wont get used as a pitcher. He must be placed as a DH in everdday lineups, if hes on the bench then dodgers will use him in relief. Ive done tons of testing
Toronto Maple Leafs
Baltimore Ravens
Toronto Blue Jays

Awesome, thank you!!
Milwaukee Brewers|Green Bay Packers|North Carolina Tar Heels|Wisconsin Badgers
You can rotate him as a starter put him at 5 etc look at matchup screen make sure he's not starting that day if he is rotate him lower. You can still use him as a DH.
OK, it's time Sony finally got Ohtani's position right.
Cubs Mgr. Craig Counsell points out the Dodgers officially list as a non-pitcher position, so they can carry 13 real pitchers on the 26 man roster.
Counsell points points out "thats bizarre."
So it's bizarre Sony calls his primary position a different position the Dodgers do. I totally understand why Sony is boxed into calling him a pitcher, but it's past time Sony does whatever necessary to get Ohtani "right".

Considering the DH is used in both leagues now, it's way past time for DH to be an official position. That would solve the Ohtani stuff.
