Does Firstbaseman Height Actually Matter For Animation-Driven Gameplay And Catching?

Stole this from a thread topic over in the EA CFB forum.
If I have a firstbaseman who is say, 5'7'', will there be more throws out of his reach and a resulting error on throws from SS 2B and 3B compared to a firstbaseman who is around 6'5''?
    Talk about things nobody cares.

Good question, I would think it would be coded somewhere, one way or another.

My guess is that height doesn't effect anything. I would assume a "green" throw is on target no matter how large the target is, and a yellow/red throws are also off target no matter how big the target is. I tend to doubt that the meter would scale based on the size of the first baseman. The only thing that the 1B affects is the likelihood of successfully scooping a yellow/slightly off target throw based on their defensive ratings
