Which version had the best presentation?

Something missing from the last few iterations at least, has been ambiance. It's never been a strength of the series, but I find myself missing little things like the older baseball games had such as MVP, 2K, and All Star Baseball. When I turn off the commentary, which I tend to do, the stadium sounds are kinda sporadic, sparse. and empty. I even have them at the highest level in the audio settings. At least with older iterations, we could add stuff with Sounds of the Show. But since the PS5 came out, they removed that feature. Does anyone recall which year had the best audio presentation. I no longer have a PS4 or PS3 to use SOTS, so probably going back to the PS2 days I would think.

If I'm not mistaken, you can play any year of MLBTS 14 thru 23 (maybe 24?) using the PS4 version on the PS5, and still have Sounds of the Show available. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can confirm or refute that.

I played 20 a lot with the audio settings to 'On The Field' or 'In The Stands', and I feel like it was the last version with great ambiance throughout the game, with commentary off. It helped that the pace of play was slower, as well. More time between pitches, etc.

In terms of 'presentation', other than that, I've gone back and have been playing 24, and to me, it's well above 25 (and from what I've seen so far, 26) in terms of what I'd refer to as presentation (lighting [25 seems to have a low contrast white haze when on the field], tv broadcast feeling). I know everyone hated the light background, but I prefer it to the nearly cartoonish look of 25.

I think while '25 had some nice adds to presentation pop-ups there are 3 things that stand out as downgrades on decisions made from '24.
1.Home run cam takes some getting used to but still not good

2.Why did they take out seeing your bullpen warming up?Not nice.

3.I don't care for having all cartoonish faces on the scoreboard.Ar least most were real portraits before.

I think cutscenes to the dugout were toned down heavily as well.

I hope they decide to reverse some of these things.I kinda got used to it though because '25 is really good but '24 I think is underrated because the gameplay is almost as good with better presentation imo.
