Im less worried now, I played through some games, but im still worried about baserunners disappearing, I'd like to think they got cramps and they'd have to go back to the dugout to treat their cramps in order to stay in the lineup. But im still worried, and I can't check game logs of previous games. I use show sim screen and I don't do baserunning situations, besides, all the clips of baserunners disappearing in RTTS had action pitches setting which means it skips to a quick count which might be why. I'm also worried this could happen for opposing baserunners when I return to the sim screen after I play a fielding situation.

Just so happy they are aware of the issue (I hope). I think we’ve done a great job making it clear and known to SDS folks if they are on these forums or read them! I’m really loving playing the game, just wish I could start my Cubs franchise but hopefully a fix coming soon!

I just simmed to free agency to test it out and I'm seeing too many good players unsigned when spring training starts. That's not good. I might have to switch back to 30 team control. These guys should all be signed somewhere.

The problem is they need to shorten the draft to 4 or 5 rounds given how skeleton thin the MiLB depth is. Personally I would rather the draft to be 20 rounds but the MiLB infrastructure isn't there to support that. And with only a little over 2½ MiLB teams per MLB team, 7 rounds is at least two too many.

Can you see what the team budgets are? Wondering if this is due to the arbitration issue where players are asking for significantly more money than they should be and it’s not offset enough by the additional rise in budgets.

If I go to the trade hub and look at each team, they are all well under budget .

These are some of the players left unsigned at the start of 2027....

I mean I could see those guys being unsigned as most are backups or fringe players on a roster. I’d be more concerned if there were guys rated higher than them that were still unsigned.

I did a 3rd test run of free agency and its the same problem. A bunch of guys ages 28 to 33, rated in the mid 70s and up that go unsigned.

Just looking at the names in your first post, I think I agree with Met that this isn't necessarily something to be overly concerned about...but I know this is something that has been an issue in the past - and even this year before the patch. But it definitely used to be worse. Having only 93 roster spots and no NRI's in spring training unfortunately means these guys end up in free agency instead of getting minor league opportunities or spring training invites.

Generally speaking, the guys you listed seem to be the type of players who aren't quite good enough to catch on as regulars, but eventually would get too expensive through arbitration or don't have enough roster flexibility (i.e. out of options) for teams to consider keeping/signing them to a bench role. I think alot of these guys could conceivably end up playing overseas to try and extend their career, if you want to imagine that is the case...

Just seems off to me that teams are letting these guys sit there unsigned and keeping worse players on their MLB roster, when they do have financial room to sign them. I know if I switched back to 30 team control then I can just sign them to whatever team I want.

So for me, they are exactly the guys that will probably be looking at NRIs in the next few seasons. I mean look at someone like Joey Meneses. Guy had a starting spot and a few hot seasons (mind you he came on late), but now he’s getting NRIs and is back in the minor leagues.

And look at the list from this year I’m providing: Mitch Garver, Rhys Hoskins, Cavan Biggio, Paul DeJong, Jeimer Candelario, Conforto, Kelenic, and Noel. All big enough names that you’d expect them to be signed, but most of these guys still needed NRIs and only half of them got signed to the ML roster.

I hope we get a fix for the stealing bases too easy, even with the slider turned down. That's a huge part of baseball, and the way I play. I haven't been thrown out yet and I've thrown out 1 CPU base runner.

The body-gestures that accompany a pitch call from catchers in the minors is backwards. Like the PitchCom call is for low and away, catcher will gesture low and inside. Very consistent, very blatantly backwards.
