    Managers Missing From Game

Here is a list of managers currently missing from the game:

    A's - Mark Kotsay
    KC - Matt Quatraro
    LAA - Kurt Suzuki
    NYY - Aaron Boone
    SEA - Dan Wilson
    TEX - Skip Shumacher
    ATL - Walt Weiss
    COL - Warren Schaeffer
    MIA - Clayton McCullough
    STL - Oliver Marmol
    SD - Craig Stammen
    SF - Tony Vitello
    WSH - Blake Butera

Not sure if they will be added via roster update or patch, but thus far they are missing.

Thought I would share for anyone who was wondering about their favorite manager, or managers in general.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

    Re: Managers Missing From Game

I bet Boone isn't going to make it into 26. I feel like his not taking the time to sign an agreement to have his likeness depicted is his way of showing the Bronx brass he is a hundred percent focused on bringing a championship to NY, no distractions. I also bet he's not the Yankee skipper after the all-star break anyway.

Thanks for the list Country, I want to check it if there are any other mgrs. like Boone who were in last year but are now... not.

Just curious. Is Joe Torre still in the Game. In MLBTS25 he was C rated as a manager but A rated as a hitting coach.

So it looks like only Boone and Royals Quatro were in last year but not this year.

That's a LONG list. And a number of those guys were MLB players who were in video games in those days. Has there ever been any light shed on why so many of them choose not to be included? Is there some sort of notion to stick it to MLB this way? Obviously, they're different sports, but coaches missing in Madden is rare, and usually its Belichick associated guys who are just being jerks because that's who they are.
Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.

A lot of players would opt out if not for the agreement with the player's union. Managers have no union to sign an agreement with. Last year Joe Torre was in the game and he hasn't managed in years. Apparently he just likes being in the game.

I guess MLB managers don't have anything like the NFL coach's association. But heck, there seems to be a higher percentage of head coaches in NCAA Football now than there is in The Show, which seems nuts.

I think Torre has been in the game as a player in Diamond Dynasty/the legend teams - which meant they negotiated with him directly to use his likeness in the game. They probably just added him as a possible manager as a sort of "easter egg"

NCAA coaches got in because to them it helps with recruiting. Otherwise they wouldn’t care about being in.

Most of these guys are older and don’t care. It’s nothing more than that. Plus to get a scan and go through that process is a waste of time for them. They are worried about getting their teams ready to play so they have better things to worry about than being in a dumb little video game.

As said above if it was up to the players and the MLBPA relationship, most of them wouldn’t be in either (similar to how Bonds and Millar never cared to be in since they weren’t covered by MLBPA contract). But since they are already in, most of them figure they might as well go through the scan process. Only guy I can think of that doesn’t have a scan is Harrison Bader, but Trout famously didn’t have a scan for years.
