In franchise I select to control all 30 teams and I set everything to manual, but the game keeps randomly putting players on waivers and then I can’t use them. Is this a glitch and how do I prevent this? I have never manually put a player on waivers.

Re: Game keeps putting my players on waivers
I play 30 team roster control on, everything manual. I think it’s a bug. Invariably I will start my regular season and there might be 3-4 total on waivers on other teams. They’ll clear and become available. Now, after that I’ve never had a problem with it continuing to show up. -

Re: Game keeps putting my players on waivers
I just did some research and people seem to think the issue has to do with options and “auto-fix”. Even though I play 30 team control and set everything to manual, I do sometimes use the roster auto fix option. If that happens and the game wants to send down a person that has no options left, it will put them on waivers to clear space because they can’t be sent down.
I guess that makes sense. At least it doesn’t DFA them.Comment

When does it do this? Is it doing it when you advance from spring training to the regular season?
If so, you MUST trim your roster down to 26 players BEFORE advancing to the Regular season, or the CPU will do it for you, even if you have it set to manual.Comment

By rights it SHOULD DFA them. Optional assignment waivers went away IRL all the way back in 2017 but 9 years later, SDS has yet to update this in-game.I just did some research and people seem to think the issue has to do with options and “auto-fix”.
