Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Everyone needs to relax......haven't we all learned by now not to doubt this development team and this game.
Every year they put out a phenomenal product that sets the bar for other sports games.
People have complained before about a lack of a demo, lack of info, etc.......and look what happens every year - the game is incredible and we all rave about it.
I'm not the least bit concerned - I ditched my XBOX360 years ago and moved to PS3 because of this game and it's the main reason I chose to buy a PS4 at launch instead of XBOX1. I guarantee you this game will be outstandingComment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I have a question for anyone who wishes to answer it: As someone who is a visually impaired player, how good does the show really look? And what is its best visual aspect?1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Wow, some people are just a major buzz kill. So what if we are happy we might know when we will be getting information based on something odd like a developer liking some posts?
I don't understand how that puts us in "Jr High." We are all sitting on our computers talking about a video game. Like that is a really mature, adult thing to be doing with our time, right?
Isn't it just fun to speculate sometimes, especially if you have a basis for it and not some random opinion? If it doesn't come Tuesday, oh well. If it does, great.
But please, somebody try to explain to me what the big deal is about people being happy about this. Anyone?Comment

But as for the PS3, it has always delivered. That way the players look has always been impressive for me. Also, the way the ball reacts and the look of the stadiums has also always impressed me. There is much to like about its visuals, as that is what the game is praised most for. Those were a couple of the visual aspects that I have always appreciated.Comment

Fortunately I have many other things that I am involved in so even if The Show were to crash and burn and never be seen again, it wouldn't effect me one way or the other.Last edited by Rdrunner; 02-09-2014, 02:53 PM.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I don't appreciate this comment a whole lot just because I am somebody who has gotten excited about this whole Russell liking a few comments thing and I spend little of my time on video games. I work two days a week on a garbage route and 5 nights a week with my family as we own a cleaning business. The Show is about the only game I play and I go on OS because I enjoy getting information as soon as it comes out talking about it with people who also enjoy the game.
To insinuate we have no lives because of this is a little rude.Comment

1) It is admittedly based on very little. I think it's pretty solid personally, but I also know that there could be 1,000 other reasons for Russel to like or dislike or loathe or adore any number of posts. I can't see him liking those two posts as anything other than a little hint toward us on here without officially saying anything, so I'm personally pretty excited by the possibility. I also understand that there's a very good chance that I'm wrong and we'll see nothing on Tuesday.
I'm reasonable enough to understand that if that is the case that I should not take my being wrong out on here to every member of this community (including Russel). The problem is that some people will think take the fact that they were wrong out on here and make this a miserable place to come visit.
2) I think that leads to the second thing which is that sometimes the fact that it's not set in stone means that there does need to be that balance of blind excitement (which I fall into) and rationality that says that it could mean nothing.
I've lurked around here long enough to know that people predict all kinds of things and dates based on any number of different things (liked posts and the like). Usually they are wrong. I think that's really all that the people who are tamp down expectations are doing and I think that that's a perfectly reasonable thing to do. If this whole thread became excitement about a possible announcement of some sort on Tuesday and nothing came it would get very ugly here, people are just trying to keep perspective and avoid that, in my opinion.Comment

You know this how?

When I make a comment I don't care whether people like it or not . Just say what I think.
If what I said isn't true about you, why should it bother you?
If it is true about you then you need to change if you don't like the truth and still have no reason to be upset with me.Last edited by Rdrunner; 02-09-2014, 03:10 PM.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I am excited to see if information comes on Tuesday, but if it does not I won't be upset. I am a fully grown man, an officer in the military, have a great family and more.. some excitement over a video game does not make me or anyone else a child. This game connects me with my family and gives me something to look forward to. Baseball is part of me, and this game means a lot to me on an emotional level. If I want to obsess over it and express how much it means to me, I should be able to do so without being called a child by someone online.
And good for you for having a life outside of games! Join the crowd.Comment

This comment is what is wrong with internet forums. People assume they know everything about other's lives because of some posts they made online.

I envy you that life is so good the only thing you have to worry about is some silly video game.

It bothers me what you said because I think there a lot of people on here who have lives that were having fun with this whole Russell liking posts thing until a bunch of Sir. Buzz Killingtons came a long and called them immature. It isn't like we all know each other on here on a personal level, so people acting like they do bothers me.Last edited by pirates1fan; 02-09-2014, 03:22 PM.Comment
