Last year I could understand, as it was a new addition..but this year, no reason, especially since the game is made here.

Agree since they have "rebuilt" all of the stadiums I'm really eager to see all of the changes that Still haven't made into the PS3 game.

That includes renovated areas, dugout art, scoreboards and also outside of the stadium stuff.

Really expecting great stuff from stadiums and the environments as that's where it looks like most of the work has gone this year.

I don't play in petco that often because I always plays the Cardinals but that plane always looked out of place, it stands out too much. Its very cool that they included it but if it were blended into the background a little better it probably wouldn't be as bad.

I wish they would put Qualcomm Stadium as an option to play in (as a classic stadium). I think it would be cool to have a throwback game there. I have very fond memories of going to see the Pads play at the Q with the palm trees in centerfield lol

There's no haze of objects deeper into the horizon in this game.

Of course, some of it is a depth illusion with this as well. Have you ever played at CBP in this game? There's a building behind the stadium in right-center field that appears strangely close to the park:

I'm not sure where your depth perception lies with all of this, but to me that looks pretty close. However, when you get the right angle, you'll realize it's really not that close at all.

Now this is still an understandable look, given that distance. It just goes to show you that appearances can be deceiving though.

Whenever I fly into San Diego the plane doesn't really touch PETCO Park that closely, though you can see it clear as day when landing (and from inside the park you can see the plane as well, just not as "floatingly" obtrusively). The camera angle could be throwing us off, but it still doesn't look right either way. It simply just does appear to be too close, and they don't have them plane physics right.

It's still a cool unique thing though, and I like that they have it.

I wouldnt mind the plane animation once a game, but every inning is a bit excessive. Also make it more HD looking lol

I've been to a ton of Pads games at Petco and I can't remember ever seeing planes landing in the background. I'm not paying attention though. I know since 04 there has been a ton of expansion to downtown San Diego, which is nice to see from an economic standpoint. I will pay more attention next time I'm there

They do land, but as you said you don't see them because you're not looking. They're significantly farther away (at least as far as our FOV), but they're possible to see from some views. I've seen them, and from the plane while landing I always sit on the left window side to get a glimpse of downtown SD, including PETCO Park. It's mostly only possible to see from right field, though.

The building you mentioned is a Holiday Inn down the street. It does appear close when you're in the stadium, but it is actually a few blocks away.

I don't want anymore scrolling LED boards around the stadiums. I want them to be an extension of the box score or the score board. Not just the home team logo playing on an endless loop.

Went to Dodger Stadium yesterday. There are a ton of changes that I hope make it in.

I remember a developer for Sony saying this is something they are planning on doing in the future. But it may not make it in until maybe MLB 15,16 or perhaps even 17 The Show on PS4.

But someday real LED boards with the in game stats will be apart of MLB The Show.
