The SOTS was awesome because you could organize actual stadium sounds, turn off the stale commentary, and have a more realistic experience. I am sure that I will continue to turn off the commentary on this year's game as well. It's just a bummer that it looks as if SOTS will not be in '14 at all. I'm excited to hear the newly recorded high-def stadium sounds to see how much it improves the experience.

Call me crazy but this could honestly be the difference if I buy '14 for the PS4 or not. SOTS were a huge part of this game for me, and others as well. I might be waiting on '15.

That's what its looking like. I was really looking forward to the PS4 and '14, and I hate that this could determine if I get the game or not. But imo SOTS made that game 10 times better than what it already was, and added to the "real experience" of baseball.

It's shaping up that way for me too. It's not a huge deal breaker for me but it adds so much to the experience because I play with the broadcast audio turned down. I do my franchises with the Yankees so its just not the same not hearing 'New York, New York' after home games.

Add to it that classic stadiums might not be on the 4 and it just looks like I'll be staying on the 3 for one more year especially since I can continue with my franchise next year.

But if SOTS and classic stadiums, are in plus if they can get the numbers on the back of jerseys without last names in the right locations on the 4 then its a no brainer for me to make the switch.

I concur. Its a huge let down and possible deal breaker for me. I've been a big contributor to the SOTS At bat music packs and was really looking forward to making them again this year for the MLB 14 community. I know it's not SCEA's fault as Sony has not patched in mp3 capability yet, but again, it's just a shame. Im sure it will be a very good game and everyone will enjoy it, but I may hold out until 15.

For either system...surely they didn't take SOTS off the PS3 version.

I don't have a ps4 yet so forgive me for not knowing but is it that the ps4 is not capable of playing any type of audio or just mp3's?

Is it really that difficult for a primary game development division of Sony to get a patch pushed through that would allow for a key feature in one of their biggest games (a game a lot of people have switched to Sony just for) to be included and work?

Seriously, they hinted at this "patch" right after the release of the FAQ before the system was even released after the huge backlash but instead just sat on their hands with it and let it idly go by in hopes people would subscribe to their Music Unlimited service.

Sorry for all your hard work on the PS4 version developers, but I'll be sticking with the PS3 version if it still has Sounds of the Show. Also sorry for the anger, but this just irks me in many ways that a key part of the game is missing because of money-grubbing laziness

I feel bad because its not SCEA fault, but they should have at least had something ready just in case the PS4 did get patched. Like I said in previous posts in here... baseball is not the game with out music in a ballpark. Yes, apparently they have added "new organ music" into the stadium, but with the exception of the Dodgers and Cubs, only like 20% of music in baseball stadiums nowadays is actually organ music.

Not hearing my favorite teams wins and HR songs is going to be crucial, but i will see what kind of replacement SCEA did before i make my purchase decision.
