I hear you guys SOTS made the game pop there was nothing like blasting a home run and hearing Zombie Nation on the speakers at dodger stadium. But I don't think you guys want to miss this on next gen...from reading the fact sheet sounds like the crowd and atmosphere is much improved along with a lot of other things I wouldn't let that be the deciding factor especially if you already own a PS4

Yeah, a Yankee win without Sinatra belting out New York, New York just won't be the same. I'm sure I'll cave for the ps4 version this year, but not having SOTS stinks. Especially if it's just a ploy to push Sony's own music platform.

You can't really take SCEA's feature complete line and use it against them. They didn't tell Sony to leave it out of the PS4. It will likely get patched in at some point and they'll add it back to the game.
Sounds like they are working extremely hard on stadium sound and atmosphere so it may not be necessary anyway. We'll see.Comment

Re: Any word from Ramone on Sounds of the Show?
I think you hit the nail right on the head there. They didn't sit on their hands though, they did this intentially to try and promote their own in-console music service that costs money. Giving the user no other option was their business ploy all along. Giving the consumer hope that they would "fix" the "problem" was another ploy in an attempt to reassure us that their console would be as feature rich as their competion's and their own prior version.
I wouldn't look for Sony to change things overnight just because a few thousand people that use a feature on The Show want it done though. We do not offset the cost of cancelling the mandate of purchasing their music service if we wish to have music on the PS4.
It's a real shame, too. The game is infinitely better with custom music in it. All sports games are.Comment

Re: Any word from Ramone on Sounds of the Show?
No doubt about there is nothing like hearing "Welcome to the jungle" by Guns n' Roses while my closer Kimbrel is entering the game on my PS3. I am still buying the PS4 system and the game if it comes out in May... Rome was not built in a day.Comment

Re: Any word from Ramone on Sounds of the Show?
Two things here:
1. Perhaps it is one of those things were it is in the game but is locked and can be unlocked with a patch if and when Sony releases a patch that includes MP3's.
2. While I would miss having use music for SotS, it's not a deal breaker. MVP 2005 was a pretty great game and it did not feature this. Don't overreact with the standard, "if this is not in the game, I will pass" statement. It's not that serious.est 1978

If its a dealbreaker for some, just put on some headphones at those moments in the game you need those sounds..................problem solved

Re: Any word from Ramone on Sounds of the Show?
Whats the point of this comment? He just said he would have to pass until it was resolved. It obviously hadn't been resolved in the 15 minutes between his post and yours. You added aboslutely nothing to the discussion.
As for the issue at hand, I'd be interested to see if this option is indeed "hidden" or "locked" by the developers until a patch by Sony. This features is a big deal to me personally and since I'm no longer a die-hard baseball fan, it could be the difference between getting this on PS3 or PS4. The added immersion from Sounds of the show is huge. I'd be interested to see how upgraded the presentation is on PS4 and if it is enough to offset the loss of Sounds of the Show.Last edited by the_future420; 02-21-2014, 09:45 AM.Comment

No matter what they add to the stadium sounds and atmosphere, it's still necessary. You can't really take SCEA's feature complete line and use it against them. They didn't tell Sony to leave it out of the PS4. It will likely get patched in at some point and they'll add it back to the game.

Re: Any word from Ramone on Sounds of the Show?
I wonder how many people say that they are going to pass only to get the game anyways? In any case, it's sad that it won't be in the game for the foreseeable future, but that's the way it goes.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks
