I'm waiting to buy mine until The Show and also hoping they might release a 2nd generation system by then

I doubt a second generation with be out by May..............I could be wrong. Im hoping for a show bundled deal myself.

I actually bought one in December simply because I knew that by the time MLB '14 came out, trying to find a PS4 would be extremely hard. They may be back in stock on a regular basis by May but I didn't want to take that chance. Also, Infamous comes out in March so I can play that for a while.

I played NBA for a week and traded it in cuz it was unplayable than madden for a month, now its collecting dust until The Show, there isn't too many games out at all right now, but The Show and Watchdogs will be unreal!

I was planning on waiting until The Show to get a PS4, when I thought it would come out in March, maybe early April. But now that the PS4 version won't come out until mid-late May, I am just going to get the PS3 version and get a PS4 when WatchDogs comes out.

It makes financial sense to wait as long as possible before buying a PS4.

I have no interest in anything else on the PS4, and I still have a few PS3 games with the plastic still on em.

...I'm so behind on this video game thing.

If I gave you the choice between me giving you 400 bucks for free, right now, and me giving you 400 bucks for free, about 4 months from now, which would you choose? Expand that to now vs 10 years from now if you don't see the difference.

Having money now is always more valuable than having money later.

So if you don't have a use for a PS4 until X date. Then, technically speaking, the best decision is to buy the PS4 on X date.

That's just pure ideology though, based only on economic principle.
Obviously in the real world, we're human, shopping takes time, and buying something on the exact day you need it is incredibly annoying. But still... if the game comes out in the end of May, and I am 100% for-certain not going to use a PS4 until then... then it's in my best interest to wait until April/May-ish to buy it.

Technically Bobhead is right, so long as the dollar continues to depreciate. But $400 now and $400 4 months from now would be highly negligible in difference. However, the better point to make would be that in 4 months from now there could be a bundle that could be say.... A PS4 + Some game for $439. So a $20 savings, or about 5%.

And that is what I am hoping for with Watchdogs, although I'm *crossing my fingers* that Watchdogs will be out sometime in April, and that would only be 6 months after PS4 launch, so money saving bundles may not exist yet. Who knows.

This has been eating me alive the past few days to get it now or wait for the show...I'm going to have to test NBA 2k or something to find out I hear its great then I hear its terrible...graphics aren't everything to me I don't want an awesome looking turd.

If you are considering a PS4 you basically need to decide between gaining the ability to play with the PS4 from now until MLB 14 comes out and losing that time from the warranty (3-4 months). Or vice versa.

If you know it will be in the box or stay unused than don't buy one yet.

The other consideration is that supply is likely to remain at similar levels (or decrease due to launch in Japan/other regions) while demand will stay the same or rise. If you want a PS4 at launch of MLB 14, each day adds risk to not finding one. Albeit a tiny risk. The more time you have to look for one the higher the chance of finding one.

Another slightly more minor consideration is if you plan to sell/trade in your PS3. The value on that PS3 may decrease (or increase, but likely not) so it may be the most beneficial to recoup some value from your PS3 as soon as possible.

Sadly no as it would take a heck of a game to have me buy a system for one game though batman Arkham 3 might do it .
Plus all my games I play are only on the PS3 system and with south park and Fifa WC 14 being released on ps3 only Im probably not gonna buy one for a while Unless Batman Arkham 3 is really amazing as I said before

Living in the UK means PS4 is in abundance in every store and on line, but annoyingly far more expensive (even online), than buying in the USA. So I will put buying off till the price drops and chew my nails to the bone in anticipation.
Buying the 'game' is another matter. For some reason the SCEA team don't think its a viable option in the UK, so it has to be bought online and is again more expensive. It would be nice to see it on the UK store shelves, (we have every other US sport on sale here) and do you not realize there 'are' English baseball teams. So get your act together SCEA, there are plenty over here that like this game...............?

Im waiting for The Show, Madden, and NHL. so I have zero interest until at least August. Baseball season is so long, I don't need the game at the start of it. Plus J-stars Vs and gundam extreme full boost seem like it may keep me on the ps3.

I just traded in the xbox1 in for the Ps4, Due to the fact that the Ps4 is very hard to come by,,, so I had a rare chance to get the Ps4 so I did and with some luck I got the last one in the store at GameStop,, Only one left so I lucked out,,, I was going to wait for the show to get the 4 but I did not want to take the chance on them being out of them when the show comes out...GameStop is so backed ordered and they said they will most likely be that way all year. My VERY STRONG advice to anyone waiting is get the 4 ASAP because the show is the game that will prompt alot of gamers to get the 4 and I was not gonna take that chance...

I'm just curious what areas do you guys live in where a PS4 is still hard to come by? Here in SOCAL(LA) it was hard the first month now I can pretty much walk into any store and pick one up anytime.

There aren't any available in the NWI Indiana Suburbs, the Chicagoland area. My buddy called half a dozen nearby stores and multiple Best Buys, and no one had them.
