Ok just found out Batman Arkham Knight the sequel to BAA and BAC is PS4 only and being released in Oct 2014 so I might pickup the Show on the Cheap then but I just cant justify the purchase now as the ps4 version just looks like a ps3 port with better graphics but the Batman game almost looks like a Ultra High def movie WoW and IMO the Show should have just did a separate PS4 version to use all its PS4 power and give it a all new fresh look .

the batman games didnt they have like 2 yrs to develop? the Show stuck w/ a 1 release per year cycle so unless SONY augmented the project team 18-26 months ago with $$$, it was kinda odds were that MLB 2014 wasn't going to look the way a Batman game was gonna look... Hopefully by 2015 though.

I haven't bought the PS4 yet, probably when the show 4PS4 is available... my PS3 has barely been turned on in the past 12 months anyway.

Rocksteady has been working on Batman Arkham Knight for 3 years and other then a port from ps3 to ps4 what has really changed with the show recently other than more visuals to make the dice rolls more believable ?

Not a knock but most sports games are just roster updates which is fine but Im kinda disappointed because when I look at the ps4 version of the show it just looks like the ps3 version in hi def with painted on beards and after 3 years or more of this similar look something new as others have mentioned would have been nice especially with the tired player models as they think the ps3 version will now hold the ps4 version back .

Again, DON'T knock on the Show PS4 version until it comes out. The PS3 version has hit it's peak and we've seen the final product of it already. The PS4 version hasn't come out in final product form yet, we haven't seen videos of it yet (AT ALL), the screens taken that we've seen so far are old, NOT final product quality, they said they've added so much more stuff for the PS4 that the PS3 couldn't handle. LET'S JUST WAIT for the PS4 version to be finished, shipped and in our hands before knocking it anymore. And the PS3 version is NOT holding the PS4 version back, they're probably just using some of the PS3 stuff year 1 to get their foundation, but going forward, they can easily do what they need to do. In a couple years, the PS4 game will be SOOOO much different than the current PS3 one, no one will be able to even compare the two.

I'm lost on how someone could compare a batman game with a baseball game. yet alone compare the two with no videos of gameplay for either to even compare too.

I Was semi on the fence whether to buy the PS4 or XboxOne due to most of my buddies being Xbox Live addicts, but the closer we get to the show I just cant see throwing my money at an Xbox only to miss out on the next-gen baseball experience. I was very close to picking one up when they were in stores last month, but I haven't seen them available in retail stores for at least 3 weeks now in the Milwaukee, WI area.

I'll definitely be ready to grab one when they return to retail stores, worst case scenario, i'll have to buy one off Craigslist or an alternative Amazon storefront if they are not readily available by May. I am fairly optimistic retail stores will have PS4's in stock by then though.

Its not about that but to answer your simple question its pretty easy and as I think soxfan said its called using the full power of the ps4 as it was intended to be used AND even if mlb the show is ok looking which it should be thats not even the issue .
Do you really wanna play the same looking game that we had for 4 years already as a base but now in hi def and Im mostly speaking of the last gen player models that have obviously being ported from the ps3 version .
See when you have a power like that even if scea had to start fresh bare bones first year you use it and build off it as those player models are from 4 years ago as a base ! Did you see that Batman Arkham Knight video now thats the ps4 power in action ! BABY ( dont use my Babies) and theres nothing worse then wasted potential .

You dont need to defend scea they put out a good game for niche audience of older males but even scea has said the people have spoken and this year they added a quick count option do to long drawn out games where gamers lose interest myself included after 2 to 3 hours per game so hopefully this will help sales and gain the interest of younger gamers who prefer to play a video game of baseball.

I think we can all agree we know what were getting with the show every year for a long time now as I actually think they exceed capturing the true slowness at times of baseball .

Edit :Yeah I dont know what it is but its maybe the models have been built or remodeled since 07 since the days of alligator arms and square shoulders ect and its ok for last gen but just looking at the few ps4 screens and such I just see last gen in ultra hi def kinda like the ps3 and ps4 had a child and drew on a beard in some cases as scea hit there graphical limits years ago on the ps3 as it was still one of the few games that used all of the ps3 power .

Edit :Yeah I dont know what it is but its maybe the models have been built or remodeled since 07 since the days of alligator arms and square shoulders ect and its ok for last gen but just looking at the few ps4 screens and such I just see last gen in ultra hi def kinda like the ps3 and ps4 had a child and drew on a beard in some cases as scea hit there graphical limits years ago on the ps3 as it was still one of the few games that used all of the ps3 power .

The player models were redone totally for the Show 11.

just to say, I dont know what the problems are with the player models, they look fine to me. The only thing i will say is maybe having a more organic look and movement to the jerseys, but everything else seems good.

I will agree that you can tell that the player models were designed by the same team, granted only judging from screenshots thou, I can say that the models do look a lot smoother and have more depth on the ps4 than on the ps3, but I'm willing to bet once we finally see the players in action that's where they are really going to shine. only time will tell, bud.

I still have my PS4 pre-order edition un-opened, still in the Amazon box...Waiting for The Show! There is no current nextgen game that interest me right now. The long wait is killing me though!...lol But that's ok, I'm still having fun with the current PS3 version for now until it comes out in May.

Arkham Knight is on xb1 and pc as well, not ps4 exclusive. I purchased a xb1 at launch, didn't see many exclusives on horizon for ps4. Really considering picking one up though for The Show. Just not sure if it's worth it since it'll be the only game I play on it. The Show's good but idk if it's $400 dollars good.

It's 400 dollars good with that X1 trade in towards it. LOL. (GS has an extra 50% trade in sale towards a new PS4 going on right now)
