He was saying he has no worries at all ("How confident are you?") because he thinks Online Franchise is hardly a step back. I didn't realize what he was saying at first either though.Comment

AHHHHH got it now. It helps to quote what your talking about if your gonna post about something that far away from the source.Comment

Re: How confident are you?
I guess that's always a possibility but I would think that if they said May it'll be in May.Comment

Re: How confident are you?
I've got a feeling that since the PS3 version was done a while ago they're just waiting for the start of the season to release it (April 1st), they're doing the same thing with the PS4 version. It'll be done in time, they're just gonna wait and get their PS3 sales, then launch the PS4 version. (Heck, if the PS3 sales are strong, or show strength), they may capitalize on the excitement and release the PS4 version in late April (like 28th). Set in stone release dates HAVE been moved up in the past with other games so it's feasible. Especially since the PS4 version doesn't have a set in stone release date, nothing saying it can't get bumped up a couple weeks.Comment

I am feeling a little scared. I expect this game to be perfect. But that is my own fault, but with their track record I think it will be close.Comment

Re: How confident are you?
Im really confident. All I have to do is work and do hw until may.
Its not even "spring" yet and when you think about it... games that were supposed to be launch titles or very near the November PS4 release aren't even out yet (Drive Club, Watch Dogs) and watch dogs just recently got a release date in late May.
Yup, wake me up when Maaaaayyy endsI used to put important things hereComment

Re: How confident are you?
The lack of information and the late release date on the PS4 shouldn't really be a reason to be skeptical. Why wouldn't they do that? They have a PS3 version to release. SCEA has said all along that they are going to focus just as much on the PS3 as the PS4. I presume there will be many people out there who buy the PS3 version, then trade that in for the PS4 version. If SCEA doesn't offer an upgrade discount, that's double the money right there. It's just not smart to release a ton of videos and information for a game that comes out in May over a game that comes out in April. Madden, FIFA, and NBA 2k did the same thing.
Obviously SCEA wanting to double their money isn't the biggest reason for the late release date. It's mainly because they need more time to develop the game, but it's also pretty smart from a business stand point in that you can possibly get a ton of people to buy two versions of your game. That's also not counting the people who will buy the Vita version plus the PS3 or PS4 version. Hell some people might even buy all 3 versions. It's honestly amazing how much money SCEA has the possibility of making this year just because of the later release date on PS4.Last edited by bwiggy33; 03-12-2014, 05:19 PM.NHL-Minnesota Wild

How confident are you?
The one thing I am worried about is how the game will perform. There have been a lot of games that look fantastic on the new consoles, but fail to hit 1080/60p. It's a real shame to me that the industry has been leaning towards more eye candy over performance. I hope The Show hits 60fps, I'd take a less taxing lighting engine, a lower resolution, AA, anything if it means the game is a solid 60fps at all times.Last edited by MrOldboy; 03-12-2014, 06:11 PM.Comment
