Do you really feel these screenshots only look a "little better" then PS3? Or were you just joking with us?

Maybe it's just me but I think these latest PS4 screenshots are nothing short of spectacular and simply blow away the PS3 version. I mean don't get me wrong the PS3 version still looks darn good too but after seeing these new "compressed" PS4 screenshots it makes the PS3 version look like a Saturday morning cartoon

I mean we are talking about the very first edition of MLB The Show on a brand new gaming system. How can any sane person not be happy with these latest PS4 screenshots? What does Sony need to do to make you happy? I mean I am probably one of the most picky guys on this message board when it comes to MLB The Show but in all honesty going by these latest screenshots I really have no complaints at all. I mean I guess If I really wanted to complain about something in these screenshots perhaps it would be that the foul poles at Minute Maid Park look like they still do not have that big advertisement on them. I was hoping Sony could put a fake advertisement on them. I guess all I am saying is for "YEAR 1" MLB 14 The Show looks more then good enough for my baseball gaming needs. It's only going to get better and better as each new version comes out and I would say we are off to a great start.

I also want you to know you have every right to talk about what you dislike as it will only help Sony in the long run improving this great game

Remember we were going from SD PS2/Xbox and into the HD 1080P/720 with 360/PS3 hate when I hear these comments and people fail to realize that

I don't understand the hate. For the reason you mentioned and a few others, the leap in visuals isn't what it was in previous transitions IMO. Leading up to the release of these systems and a few years prior, there was a few articles with developers quoted as saying the jump won't be as immediately noticeable because it'll have more to do with better particle effects and lighting, not so much a huge jump in polygon counts and a lot more life-like textures.

Again, with all that said, like I mentioned in my previous post, I think these screens are better looking than any game we've seen to date on next-gen. I'm genuinely surprised a little bit by how much better this game looks than anything released already.

Yup, ps4 looks just like a port of the ps3 Can't see how any one can say that if you compare these two screenshots

Bottom screen, PS3--> Definitely VG graphics.
Top Screen, PS4--> When I first saw this, i thought it was real.

Really excited these were released. I'm sure videos are in the oven, but I'm tempering expectations to see them after the April 1 PS3 release. Anything PS4-related that gets released before that date is icing.

I am just glad to see they are Adding a HDCP off option! I can finally stream the game haha.

Guys.....you have to realize something.
It's obligatory for some posters to be negative in regards to The Show....and with some it's just obligatory for them to be negative. And that's okay. They would drive a Lamborghini and say "the seats suck" as their comment when stepping out. They would be right!.....but just take solice in the fact that YOU can appreciate the positives.

...and who knows.....maybe some day they will put better seats in the Lambo?

Until then...just sit back and enjoy....the pics and ALL the posts.

And it's obligatory for people to attack those that find something disappointing about The Show.

The second someone says "I wish it was better" it turns into "get your eyes checked" fest. And it doesn't help that certain people that should be more respectful to the community also go on full attack mode just because it's their game.

The snide comments are not becoming of those people no matter how much work is put into the game.

Defenders need to learn how to practice what they preach and appreciate the game they have instead of attacking people they feel are attacking their favorite title.

How do we think the helmet popping off is going to play out? Runner calls time out and goes and picks it up or the base coach picks it up and gives it to the runner? Or maybe the fielder grabs it and tosses the helmet to the runner. The little things!
