I think they would have specified foul balls and homers if that were the case though.

They won't catch either this year feature was cut.

But there's nothing new here. This is a 2yo complaint and then suddenly , 1 month away from release you pass it to the art team as if it's a brand new prob found?

Everytime someone was complaining about it here they got the same reply over and over again "sorry it's 'cause of the mlb style guide"

What's going on now with the style guide? Can it be bypassed?

It's very simple we looked at this two years ago when the complaints first started. Colors and material react different depending on lighting artificial or natural, bounce lighting, etc........... We couldn't get a jersey in the studio to varify the color tone. So our artist did the best he could.

Kirby hasn't been with our dev team an extremely long time and he's unaware of things that transpired in the past. So he does what everyone on our team does on these forums see an issue bring it up with the responsible parties and we see what happens. And yes the MLB style guide is king it's not the artists job to look at photos on the internet. It's their job to go off the style guide.

But the color of the jersey isn't due to the style guide, you can change it if you wanted to, so why not at least attempt to change it.

Did you read what I just wrote? I've said this 1k times over the years if it was that easy don't you think it would have been done already.

Nothing is as easy as you think it is even the most simplistic things in theory might take mountains of effort time and resources to change.

I just realized I wrote that post a bit weird. I'm assuming you do mean that the PS4 version will be the same as the PS3 last year.

My post may have seemed like I was asking if the PS3 version for this year got updated.

I thought I read it that the fans will actually get the balls rolling near the wall this year or catch the ball in the PS4 version

This should be stickied just so people know why a certain jersey or cap isn't in the game.

This is an example of overdoing the complaint.

A response was given. Now you're trying to resolve past faults when a future resolution has been provided.

Let it go. The SCEA team is looking into it.
