    Top 9 Starting Pitchers

I'm not one to dispute ratings on a video game, but for The Show to have Jose Fernandez as the 2nd or 3rd best player in the entire game baffles me. I'd argue he's a borderline top-10 pitcher, but top 3 just seems asinine.

You do realize the rosters are from March 11th some of the ratings will change with the Opening Day roster update for the PS3 and if you're holding out for the PS4 I'm sure they'll look a little different when that version drops and the update that comes along with it. It's all subjective.

Have you ever watched the kid pitch? I watched every one of his starts last year, and he is just ridiculous. He absolutely deserves a top 2 or 3 rating.

Why did you make a new thread here for this instead of posting in the player ratings thread?

There's no way he should be higher than Felix Hernandez or Justin Verlander after 1 season, but if I'm starting a fantasy draft I don't think there's another pitcher I would take over him besides Kershaw.

I wonder if the sim stats 5 years into a franchise are still going to be awful, with the best-of-the-best pitchers allowing 5+ ERA and whatnot

Yeah. He's young and good, one of the top picks for sure. Rating wise, probably a little high after only one season. But no harm no foul imo.

It's a great thing you can always adjust the ratings, except for playing people online.

I'm baffled why Chris Sale was not on the top 9 list. He has been better than Price and Darvish over the past 2 seasons. But I am assuming he barely missed the list, so maybe #10 or #11 which wouldn't be so bad. If he has a rating in the 80's though, I'll be making some major adjustments.

I could complain about Cliff Lee not being in the top 10, but I don't feel the need to since it is just a video game. I have no issue whatsoever with where Jose Fernandez is on that list. Kid is a stud and will be for years to come.
