    VITA and PS4

Anyone know if an MLB the Show 14 season started in VITA will be able to transfer over to the PS4 (and vice versa)? Wondering if this is a way for me to start a season before the games release in May.

    Yes. Vita, PS's 3 & 4 are all interchangeable.

So you can remote play from your Vita. Is it useless to buy The Show Vita for a month?

If you have a fast enough connection at home and wherever you plan on playing, you will be able to use your PS4 on the Vita like you were at home sitting in front of it. Instead of Vita graphics, you'd have full PS4 graphics on the go along with all your save files. It's pretty amazing they are able to make this happen but I see it killing Vita software sales.

Good to know. I took a chance, bought a Vita today and The Show Vita from Amazon Pre-ordered.

I had no idea you get PS4 graphics when using remote play. Still getting both versions but that is a nice feature

Im also getting the vita version.

Remote play is awesome but there will be multiple times when I don't have a WiFi connection when out and about.

Will save hunting around to connect just so I can play.

Ofcourse, it's basically just streaming the feed. So it doesn't need to do all the rendering and stuff, the ps4 is doing that.

Now I might be going this way too but I'm waiting for some reviews considering the possible lag this remote play might cause. Should be no problem for a game like Infamous but like we all know the slightest of lag could screw up your timing in The Show.

Also, you have to be on the same network as your PS4 (at least for wi-fi vita) in order to use remote play

I've used remote play from work (10 miles away) and at my parents house (25 miles away) without issue. It'll work on the road as long as your PS4 is left in standby mode at home.

Even if what you said is true, what post in this thread led you to think that? So far, nobody has made such a statement.

Either way, I am still skeptical about the lag and quality of remote play, either locally or over the Internet. I haven't seen it for myself and I know some people play the "beggars can't be choosers" role with this kind of thing, so until I try it for myself I have to take everything worth a grain of salt. I'm genuinely hoping that it will do what we need it to do.

For baseball video games, though? That might be an issue. As LastActionHero said, one bit of lag and the entire hitting system is obsolete.

Ive never tried remote play from outside my house but when I am home Remote play works flawlessly. One thing that I can't get working is turning on my PS4 using the vita. I either have to turn it on using the ps app or manually. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

I got my Vita used on Amazon but didn't order a memory card. Does the Vita have enough internal storage for me to play The Show without me buying one?
