Looks solid. I don't really ever feel blown away by their screenshots. The most important aspect is that the players look outstanding from the view in gameplay. I would argue that both Madden and NBA2K have better screenshots. However, The Show has the smoothest and most life-like player movements.

Kind of funny people say it doesn't look like Brandon Phillips, when Brandon Phillips himself said it does. SMH. Facial scan was probably from 2013 so I'm sure he looks a little different now obviously. Personally I have no issue with these screenshots I like the way they look and the leap up the series is taking I the graphics/lighting department.

Yeah, the thing that MLB does better than most games is when you are playing the game you know that all of the different variables will interact remarkably with one another. This will create a fluid picture that can't be captured fully in a screenshot. Seriously though...can't wait to see this game in motion on my own tv. I think subconsciously I purchased my 70' tv just for this game and watching Athletics games. Who am I kidding. I knew exactly what I was doing when I bought it.

Do you expect a spokesperson to say it doesn't look like him?

Plus, people look at me more than I look at me. I might surprise myself in thinking I look like something/someone when someone else might say I don't. It could also just be a distorted perspective.

Some players also say how they look like they bat like themselves and such, and they really don't look close. Or like when NASCAR drivers said they played old PSX games to help prepare for races. It's all marketing.

Sure it's been done before. Just go check a ton of NFL players on twitter when Madden drops.

I respect your opinion and perspective, but honestly I knew that was Brandon Phillips the second I saw it and if I put him in another UNI I would know it was BP just from looking at his face.

Apparently you didn't respond to the paragraph underneath that, which would be my counter to your statement.

Either way, my point isn't being understood, so I'll leave it be. I already made my claims about how much/little it looks like him. My comments thereafter were made generally speaking, not specifically about Mr. Phillips.

EDIT: I don't want anything to sound out of place here. I'm not trying to call anyone out on anything. I was merely speaking on the merits of game promotion; whether honest or dishonest, I just don't see spokespeople speak negatively about a product in public interviews, ever. I don't even see backhanded compliments. My post was not directed at Brandon Phillips or SCEA; it was just in response to the other poster bringing up what he said about it though.

I apologize, and if you read my post below I can see how accurately done he really has been made too.

Honestly, I probably would too simply by process of elimination (because I can't think of another MLB player who that looks like). Otherwise, I might think it's a generic player made to look like Pedro Cerrano or something.

EDIT: I finally went into Google Images to try and place what looks different about him. I've narrowed it down to three things:

1) The full beard.
2) The bottom lip color.
3) The hat placement.

The third one is one of the most unique things about the guy (he wears it low and slightly crooked), so I can understand why that can't really be replicated on this game. If he is sporting a full beard this year, I'm sure it will look closer to him in the game.

That said, I'm warming up to his look now. The bottom lip color was the last one, and I don't think this game separates top and bottom lips at all. So it probably truly is "as close as they can get," which of course is very acceptable.

He just likes the beard. that is cool maybe it is the shadows. I see some resemblance but not like the Heyward counter part.
