I expect to take a loss when I buy sports titles. As I was trading in a few games at Gamestop to buy The Show, I asked how much I could get for 13; eight dollars. I said forget it, I'll keep it in case I get nostalgic. Considering they're selling it for ten bucks, you really can't expect to get much more than that.

Depreciation happens. I can't get for my Jeep what I paid for it. My Samsung TV that I paid a thousand dollars for back in 2007 would be lucky to get a hundred bucks now. That's just the way things work.

The important question I ask myself is did I get sixty dollars worth of enjoyment out of the game? And the answer each year has been absolutely.

Oh, and I'd be doing digital if it wasn't for Gamestop's buyback deal. Because video games are for the lazy, and lazy people don't like to get up to change games.

Its too bad that Sony cant send you a hard copy of the game once they verify through online download that you purchased the full copy. Like (I dont want to wait).. So I can drop 60.00 online, download it.. sony has my home address, etc.. they know I paid.. so then they ship it the hard copy. I would be willing even if sony said "okay, in your location with tax and S+H your game is going to be 66.25. Id be down to pay that to get my online copy downloaded now and have it cover on the physical copy getting shipped to me.

Going digital for sports games since I usually buy them on Day 1 and keep them until the next version comes out, so there's really nothing to be gained from trading in a physical copy.

Plus, and I know this is going to sound extremely lazy, but it IS nice to be able to play the game without having to get up to swap out discs. 'Merica.

Well, its not fair that the people who buy digital can't sell them, and its not fair that disk copys get scratched and won't read...

I like the hard copy of the game, since they cap our bandwidth in Canada I rather not waste 50 GB of data or what ever the size of the game is in one day.

Plus just say your PS4 dies or has hardware failure then you have to re-download it again

Well as I had a $10 credit in my psn store wallet I went ahead and preordered the digital copy. Itll start downloading tuesday morning at 12am est. Ill then promptly call in sick to work a few hours later as I have wednesdays and thursdays off. Should make for a nice 3 days of baseball!

Hard copy for me. I usually trade sports games in once the new one is releasing.

For those that have gone pure digital with a ps4 on another purchase does it impact load times at all? Do you need to keep the disk in to play if it downloads all content to the disk anyway?

I somewhat agree with you on the first part...
But when was the last time you ever saw a scratched bluray disk?

Also you would have to upload the disk info back to your new hard drive anyways

Yes, you need to keep the disk in if you got a hard copy.
