I could see that, but I could also see how they'd deal from their surplus of young pitchers for an area of need (1B). The Mets have a crapload of young pitching, plus Harvey will be back in just a year. I would do it personally, but that's just me haha :-)

If you want to be realistic about it, Ball can't be traded until June per MLB rules that state a player can't be traded until a year after their draft selection, or something to this tune. However, Middlebrooks is an interesting idea. He certainly lost some stock but still carries good value. He should probably be included.

I would give up Bogaerts, Webster and Raunado for Stanton.
You have to ask yourself, would you rather have Bogaerts or Stanton? Both are young, so Stanton is worth it in my book

Yea, I would wait until the deadline to make the deal. So I could do Webster, Ball, Mbrooks, Vazquez, Ranaudo for Stanton and a fringe A level prospect? just because I have to do two trades to get it to work.

Both are going to be blocked because I have Swihart to catch for the future and Pedey at 2nd is signed for the next 8 years or so. Who else should I include in the trade? I have a trade I think could work below.

I actually just thought of one but would Vazquez, Betts, and Webster work. I mean Vazquez is a good young player at a premium position who most likely stick there through the majority of his career in Miami. Webster and Betts are #3 and #6 respectively. Is this a fair trade?

Bogaerts would definitely have to be included. If you don't want to give up Owens, Bradley Jr. would have to be included. Just my opinion, but I think it takes Bogaerts + Bradley, Jr. + Betts + Webster/Ranaudo.

If you wanted a SS back, you could add Middlebrooks and they could add Hechavarria.

That would be an overpayment for Hechavarria and Stanton to include Mbrooks. And I feel the Marlins would be fine with that trade because they have come IRL and have asked the sox about Mbrooks.

Bogaerts would have to be included just like the Marlins insisted on Hanley Ramirez as a part of the Beckett/Lowell deal back in the day.

Another top prospect would have to be included along with Bogaerts so that's a guy like Owens.

Then I'd say you'd have to add at least two additional players or more based on their value. You guys have already touched base on the names of Vasquez, Webster, Betts, Middlebrooks, Ball and Swihart and that's probably where we stand. Maybe De La Rosa, Workman, Cecchini, Bradley Jr and Ranaudo.

Stanton is a young superstar with a true power bat and that's rare in the game today. He'll put up nice numbers in Boston but he's gonna cost you big time

I mean I could always take out Bogearts and add in the guy I was going to use to replace Mbrooks, in Cecchini. he is the number 3 prospect in their org. So I am going to go with Webster, Betts, Ball, Vazquez, Cecchini. fair right? According to MLB.com that's 5 top 11 prospects.

                    Edit:
I just went and googled Stanton Red sox and found the funniest article I have ever seen.

I love when he says I’ll try to keep it as realistic as possible
Also Nick Cafardo gave a trade scenario in Mid-March of Mbrooks or Cecchini, Barnes, Vazquez, JBJ and Betts. which is probably what I will go with.

You are trying to trade for the top young power hitter in baseball. Bogaerts would have to be included, and I think Totte is right that Owens would have to be included too. You're not even close to fair value.

Yeah, Bogaerts has to. The Marlins would undoubtedly insist on their top prospect. Plus, if you include Bogaerts you'll probably have to add *less* players than if you didn't have Bogaerts in it. Bogaerts-JBR-Betts-Raunado-Webster makes it fair IMO.

BY THE WAY, has anyone heard anything about Rubby De La Rosa? Haven't heard anything about him.

Well it starts with Jurickson Profar. Profar - Jorge Alfaro - ChiChi Gonzalez - Luke Jackson might get it done. Stanton is an enormous hitter in his early 20s

I am willing to give up the entire 90 man roster for him outside of Bogaerts, Owens, Lester, and Swihart. So numbers are not an issue. And what do you mean by heard about Rubby? I need a closer for the 2015 season and he is the guy.

I'll be starting up a Yankees Franchise with the OSFM rosters upon release and was interested to know what kind of package it would take to get either Elvis Andrus or Starlin Castro, or would those 2 be players be unrealistic? Obviously they would be Jeter's replacement after he retires. Thanks in advance!
