For either Baez or Starlin I would imagine young, high-ceiling pitching would get their attention like Wheeler or Noah.

As the Mets, what could I offer for Trever Bauer from Cleveland and Drew Pomeranz from Oakland? Also, I'm curious if there are any interesting ideas for where to unload Ike?

Ike could fit pretty well in Pittsburgh, as they need a 1B. Although I don't know how they'd like both Davis and Alvarez in the order

Edit: Milwaukee would be a good landing spot as well.

Baez isn't going anywhere anytime soon....as for Starlin, I have a hard time seeing the Mets include Wheeler or Snydergaard....maybe start a package with Montero, Mejia, and fill in the rest

Montero+Mejia+X isn't something the Cubs would do though

Cubs wouldn't give up Starlin without Wheeler/Synder coming back

i didn't think they would either...just don't see Mets parting with either of those two

Ok, didnt want to get too much, how about adding M. Estrada to the package and/or taking out Walker or Martin... (Id have to do the trade in 2 parts though)

Both Bauer and Pomeranz's values have decreased significantly. Two B's for Bauer and a B and a C for Pomeranz

I just don't see the Brewers having the prospects to get a trade done for McCutchen. They have one of the worst minor league systems at the moment

Im not putting much thought into this franchise, just trying to get a mashup of fun players I like to hold me over til the OSFM rosters come out. But I do want it to be fair trades because I want to continue playing this after.
When the OSFM roster are released THEN I will start my more serious Red Sox franchise.
So dont mind my thoughtless trading tactics right now lol...

EDIT: OK Im changing course here... Im focusing on getting Simmons rather than Segura, want that sure hand at short...
What kind of package would it take to get Simmons?

Trading within the division has to be the biggest myth out there. If you think you're winning the trade, why wouldn't you want to rip off one of the teams in your own division, and make them weaker? And if you're not winning the trade, why make it? Sure, you have to face the guy you traded X amount of times in a year, but the same is true for the other team who's trading you players. There's no reason to not trade within the division if you think you're winning the trade, and if you aren't, why make the trade?

I'm in an online dynasty just kinda messing around til roster come out and saw this trade come up and was wondering who you think won this trade and what your take on it is!

                          Reds Padres
                          Cueto Shultz
                          Hamilton Denorfia
                          Mesoraco Grandel

The average player rating in the deal for both teams is a 77.

Alrighty, been awhile since i really participated in one of these threads (2012 was last super active) but 14 has been a blast and when the rosters drop i feel like i will be in here a lot

So first question of the new thread is with my single team franchise, the Red Sox, i feel like Xander can man third just fine and want to keep him there and deal off Will Middlebrooks. Looking for more of a prospect base deal for him to flip for a solid SS or deal him off along with another piece for a SS. Also, i am not opposed to keeping Xander at SS and trying to get a 3B, just my personal preference that X plays 3B.
