Every player on the Astros + Cubs would be a good start. In all seriousness you probably could get a teams top 8 or so prospects if they have a decent farm (like the Mets for example )

I really don't get on with Dickey.

Who would be a realistic trade partner for him?

If you're trading Trout, you could get from the Cardinals for example:

        Wacha
        Taveras
        Rosenthal/Martinez
        Carpenter
        Piscotty
        Reyes

And so on. You can get whatever the hell you want for Mike Trout. Don't settle.

Also, has anyone in the past ever came up with a list of 1-Year Deal Players for the following season? For instance, players who underperform or who were hurt, so they swing a 1 year deal to gain some momentum in FA the following season. I always play with low budget teams, and it's always fun to sign players who got rocked, but have potential, to a one year deal, and see how they perform - typically Veterans.
Drabek is a really good suggestion for this post. Another guy I thought of when I first saw this question would be Carlos Carrasco. Top Phillies prospect in 2007/2008, made the futures game 3 years in a row and then was part of the Cliff Lee trade.

He hasn't been very good in his career for the Indians but might be a good buy low/decent upside option. Also, with Kevin Youkilis in Japan you don't have to worry about Carrasco throwing at him and getting suspended

I'll trade you Lee, Hamels, Papelbon, Burnett, the Phanatic, Pat's and Geno's cheesteaks, Yards Brewing Company, and the Rocky statue to bring Trout to South Philly haha

Thanks for the advice Lee contract was a bit much so I've decided to go after Ubaldo instead and with Oakland's tendency to turn arms who have had up and down Careers into gold mines at the A's thinking he would fit better he wouldn't have to be a top of the Rotation guy or anything like that just a middle of the order guy and some of his stuff is still pretty good in the game can't say for real life Haven't seen him pitch lately ever since he got traded to the Indians i stopped watching pretty horrible that year.

Gonna start my Yanks franchise soon, any idea how I could get any of these guys realistically?

Carassco is a great suggestion. I was skimming recent first round picks and Drew Pomeranz caught my eye as well

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Could anyone see a trade involving:

(HOU) Dallas Keuchel (SP) + Cris Carter (DH/1B)
                    for
(TOR) A.J Jimenez (C) + Kyle Drabek (SP) + Prospect

This of course, will be dependent on shifting Lawrie to 2B, and Francisco staying at 3B on a regular basis - allowing Carter to back up Encarny and Lind at DH/1B.

I think it was AC M. who mentioned swapping A.J Jimenez for Keuchel, and it seems like a good trade, and I wanted to expand it if possible.

Does this seem like a fair trade? I'll admit, I'm not too familiar with the Jays prospects outside of the top 5-7. There appear to be a lot of raw, young players. If this seems fair, which prospect could I also snag from Toronto (if at all)?

                    Thanks guys.

In the same vein as Pomeranz, Alex White was a first round pick of the Indians and was traded with Pomeranz to the Rockies in the Ubaldo Jimenez deal. He's had some problems since then and was traded to Houston this year. He's had TJ surgery this year but in the game that shouldn't matter.

Andrew Miller or Daniel Bard would be a very low cost option as well. Though, you'd have to adjust their stamina ratings to turn either of them into starters. Those guys are older though, both in their late 20s, so probably out of the range you are looking for

                          Hey guys.

                          Do these trades seem fair/realistic?

Braves Receive: SP Tyler Skaggs, 2B Taylor Lindsay, 3B Kaleb Cowart
                          Angels Receive: SP Kris Medlen
If Tyler Skaggs is too much, what about Mark Sappington?

Braves Receive: SP Max Fried, RF Hunter Renfroe, SS Jace Peterson
Padres Receive: SP Mike Minor, SP Brandon Beachy

I'm trying to get rid of some of the starting pitching because we have too many starters in the majors, build the farm system back up, and still contend.

I don't think the Angels are trading Skaggs after they just acquired him..and I don't know anything about Sappington......as for your 2nd trade, it's been noted in previous posts about how unlikely it is to trade Renfroe so soon after drafting him
