PS4 May release date

I refuse to fall into their trap and buy the PS3 model. The only thing that is keeping my head cool is knowing the OSFM rosters aren't ready for a bit longer.


Do you think they could've released the PS4 game in April, but decided to take the gamble to make more money? Or actually needed the delayed release date?


I've never heard of a game getting released a month into a season.

First year on a new console and the first PS3 version was about a month into the season as well I believe.

Necessity. Making sure they put out the best product possible and for all platforms to have the same features.

I've never heard of a game getting released a month into a season.

Both. They wanted to get more money from the PS3 version, but also they NEEDED to finish polishing the PS4 version before releasing it. SCEA:SD is NOT a company to release an unfinished product.

Well considering they are RIGHT NOW still working on the PS4 version.
I don't think the theories of an April release possible would be very convincing!

It's not alarming that they are still working on it, it's just like anything in life.

They have a due date to finish by in order to hit the release date and they are just going to work and add whatever they can into the game as long as they can.

I doubt we see a delay and there is nothing that really would indicate that there might be.

That's a pretty rough number, Titanfall went gold about 2 weeks before release, doesn't mean much one way or the other.

You can find plenty of examples of games going gold a month early and plenty of examples of games that go gold two weeks early, the ones that go gold a month just sit in boxes longer waiting to be bought.

Everything I've seen has game's going gold about 2 weeks before release.

NO WAY. It takes 2-3 weeks after going gold just for mass production to happen. No way can a developer have a 2 week turnaround time from Gold to release.
