Cant wait to hit from broadcast view!
I always hit from this view because I like the tv look and I actually pick the ball up better. With the new lighting and having everything turned off its going to look incredibly realistic...Go reds!Tags: None -
Re: Cant wait to hit from broadcast view!
I'm with you man! It's my favorite cam by far and the only way to play imo. Ive found zone hitting is the most intuitive type for me. Also pitch speed at 10 adds to the realsim. Being a good hitter from the broadcast view is so rewarding once you get good at it, and the dynamic cam adds a lot. -
Re: Cant wait to hit from broadcast view!
Just curious - do you guys that hit from this view use timing hitting? I ask because I would find it so difficult to make consistent contact from this view with any of the other user interfaces. If you can use this camera with analog or zone then
With timing, however, I can see how it would feel like some of the old-school games like Bases Loaded, once you got the timing down. Glad you can play the game the way you want to!
Edit: Just read future's post...see the end of my first paragraph above.Comment

Yeah I hit with zone also. I agree it is very rewarding! Hopefully we can see the ball coming off the bat more in future versions like they do PYS..looks awesome!Comment

Re: Cant wait to hit from broadcast view!
i use broadcast view (all star / zone plus analog)...offline only.
i use one of the more centered broadcast views so i can pick up the ball well from left and right hand batters about equally. it's so rewarding to get on top of a pitch and to hit a screamer down the line...so homers are ultra rewarding.
i've been using this view since i can remember. i've found blazer's sliders (mlb '13 ps3) to be the best for my combination of: pulse pitching (broadcast view)...classic is the look i want but too random, zone analog batting no cursor (broadcast view), auto fielding (broadcast view), auto base running ..as you see i like it to also look like i'm watching (therefore all indicators are off)...my wishes are simple for the ps4 version, but i won't be sad. i'm hoping i'm able to completely turn off the base runner diamond shaped indicator. i love to field, so i'll go back to manual fielding with only region indicator turned on if i'm able to turn off the indicator of which player has the ball. so, close to having it look like a real broadcast while playing...so you know i'm super excited for the HD crowd upgrade, since i'm looking at them both batting and pitching!!!Last edited by brrmikey; 04-10-2014, 04:08 PM.Comment

Re: Cant wait to hit from broadcast view!
I don't see how anybody can do this.
If I could be even remotely successful at it I'd do it in a heartbeat though.Comment

Re: Cant wait to hit from broadcast view!
I only pitch with broadcast view. Really like that view. Still use catcher for hitting. I'd imagine it'd be too hard to hit from Broadcast view. I kinda think of it as a POV, so hitting cam is behind hitter and pitching cam is behind pitcher.Comment

Re: Cant wait to hit from broadcast view!
My camera (custom) is just about exactly where the catcher's eyes would be.

Re: Cant wait to hit from broadcast view!
I've dabbled with this in the past but its awful tempting to peek into the catcher's signs. Even if you don't, you can see where they're setting up so it takes away from the appeal a little bit. But its great fun and a really nice change from the norm, especially for those of you that play 162 games.

I pitch and hit from broadcast. I hit using the circle hitting, which ever that is. I always get realistic stats, its not that difficult.Comment

Re: Cant wait to hit from broadcast view!
As far as I am concerned there is only one way to hit in this game: custom batter's eye that mimics real life as much as possible. I don't even touch their weird views. I mean that in the nicest way of course.

Re: Cant wait to hit from broadcast view!
Yeah, I do the same thing and feel the same way. I have played a few exibition games hitting from the broadcast view. I mean, yeah its different and harder, but I imagine if I played about 100 games like that, I would be able to consider myself comfortable with it." Hit 'em where they ain't " - Willie Keeler
