Re: Gamespot PS3 vs PS4 Comparison video
We all bought a PS4 over the xbox1 solely because of MLB the Show.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

I wont say the only reason I bought PS4 was for the Show. But I CAN say its the ONLY reason I didn't even consider Xbox an option.Comment

Re: Gamespot PS3 vs PS4 Comparison video
So if there show was the only game on ps4 and nothing else you would have gotten it? No on one truly buys a console for 1 game, they buy it for the overall package and promise of many games over many years.Comment

Re: Gamespot PS3 vs PS4 Comparison video
well, not exactly true. I did buy a gamecube just for the resident evil remake. I had no interest in any other game on it, but it just so happen that Capcom came out with two other resident evil games later on and those were the only games I owned and played on the gamecube.Comment

Did you pay full price for the console? That seems like a huge waste of money especially since it was ported over to the PS2 later that year lol.
I thought there were plenty of good games on the Gamecube, it's a shame you didn't play any of them.
EDIT: Nvm I thought you were talking about Resident Evil 4 which was supposed to be a Gamecube exclusive and then ended up getting ported.Last edited by Madden's Jowels; 04-10-2014, 07:19 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Video Comparison Between the PS3 and PS4 Versions
Pretty much agree with this.
The stadiums, lighting and coulours are beautiful.
The player models, uniforms look very very similar. The lighting improves them somewhat though.
I was hoping to see some nice twill/dazzle textures for the uniform scripts ala 2K.
Im glad the devs have addressed the models though both here and gaf. Finally Roster share in NHL 22 ! Dreams do come true ! To Garryowen and Glory boys !Comment

Re: Gamespot PS3 vs PS4 Comparison video
I bought a PS3 for The Show and got like four games for Christmas. A year later, I traded those four games in and they still had the manufacturer's packaging (unopened).
Maybe that answers your question. If The Show was the ONLY game I would play on the PS4, you bet I'd still swipe my debit card on a $500 purchase.
Crazy to some I'm sure, but it's simply that damn good.Comment

I always look at cost broken down over time. Let's say you buy your PS4 and only The Show @ $399 and $60 respectively. You keep the system for 7 years, buy the new iteration of the The Show each year, and you play an average of 5 hours/month. Assuming fixed costs and considering electricity cost are negligible:
399 + 60 * 7 = 819
819 / 7 / 12 / 5 = 1.95
So, $1.95/hour to play ONLY The Show...and that number goes down the more hours you average per month.
As far as entertainment dollars go, seems pretty cost effective."Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"Comment
