Stadium Fly Ins?

On the fact sheet, it says that the PS4 version will have stadium fly-ins. I didn't see any in the 3 games yesterday - are they still going to be in the game?

I truly hope it wasnt removed last minute, as the crowd catching home runs was, as its one of the new features i was truly looking forward to.

On the one comments Russell posted yesterday about things for the PS4 only that item was not included on his list , maybe he forgot or it's not in there this year, maybe he can update us.

I have asked a few times and no word as of yet, at this point thinking it was removed considering all gameplay and videos have not highlighted or shown a glimpse the feature

I would think it is still going to be in the game. Because in the Cathedral video there were aerial overhead shots of a stadium or two. I want to be wow and surprise when playing this product. I for one hope the stadium fly in are in and they don't show until someone has a retail copy.

may be its just me and of course I'm not a game developer but I can't imagine doing stadium fly ins being that hard to do for it to be cut from the game, could be wrong, probably wrong. But is weird that nothing else had been mention about it other than the fact sheet. perhaps it will be shown off in a new video with in the next couple of weeks.

I was thinking about this this morning. I didnt see the stadium fly ins yesterday as well. I chalked it up to either them just skipping over it or it wasn't in the build they were playing. Im sure it will be in the final build.

Maybe it only happens during special games? Opening Day, mother's day/father's day games, playoffs games? I haven't been to a Sox game in like 2 or 3 years - is there a fly over every game or series?

One thing to consider is that they may need separate exterior models for all MLB ballparks, which in itself would be a time consuming task. For example, in FIFA 14 NG, they only have six or so pre-game exterior stadium shots, with the intention of adding more down the line.

Speaking of stadiums (and sorry to digress), are we getting the classic stadiums of '13 (Polo Grounds, etc.) in '14?

PS Nation has already said Stadium Fly Ins are in in one of his previews.


"Also, an addition to the PS4 version is a new fly-in sequence at the beginning of games. One that made me smile immensely was in Kansas City. Since the stadium is pretty far outside of town, they actually showed downtown Kansas City, with Union Station in the foreground and an angle that would probably be shot from the Liberty Memorial. It looked fantastic and was a real surprise that almost made me homesick (by the way, Kauffman looks amazing!)

im sure the magicians dont want to reveal everything they have before the game comes out. Easter eggs? btw i am looking forward to this feature as well.
