Had my 2 perfect game in mlb the show history. The first was in mlb 12 with the Blue Jays. This time I play for the Red Sox, it was in Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

Over 1,000 home runs and a .345 average! Haha. That's insane.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show PS4: Road to the Show Thread
I had to mess with the sliders a bit so that the game was more fun. Just moved up to the majors on a part-time basis but it's a struggle. I'm hitting with more power than in the minors but average is like .123 or something terrible.
Since moving up the hit variety for me is much lower, I'll either deep fly out, pop up or, worst event that needs fixing, ground chop to catcher.
I find hitting with contact doesn't change things as 2 of my 4 homers are contact.
I'll read old posts on this because I think RTTS might be way too much of a grind for me, it seems like it would take 3 seasons to be decent - which may be realistic, but I don't want to wait that long to have a strong throwing arm, that is mildly accurate as well as power ratings that are in the 80s.
Most sports games suffer from this "you start painfully crappy and grind from there, even in attributs most highschool/college players should be born with"Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show PS4: Road to the Show Thread
I was low on cash and was getting the itch for NBA2K15 so I used MLB as a trade-in
I was in the middle of an RTTS season so I'm wondering if I'll have to go rent the game and finish that season before I can continue it on The Show 15. I'm thinking you'll probably need to be in the offseason or something, but that's a big assumption.
What time of year does stuff about the new game start trickling out?Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show PS4: Road to the Show Thread
I just started playing my speed-contact CF (Gabriel Santiago) again because I wanted to progress him more before MLB The Show 15 comes out - don't worry I know that's several months away but I have been having trouble juggling FIFA 15, Madden 15, NBA 2k15 and Destiny.
I missed The Show. Gonna try to get to the majors and somehow hit .400 in a season, it will be very difficult."I'm all about that action, boss." - Marshawn Money Lynch
