8 Days, MLB14TS Monday

The hype is at its peak. Now just a mere 8 days away MLB 14:The Show for Playstation 4 is almost here. C'mon admit it, when Sony held their conference last year and showed footage of gameplay a few months later at E3, we all knew what we were thinking...MLB 14: The Show on Playstation 4. The day is almost here, May 6th, and we all know these next 8 days are going to feel more like 8 years. For about the past month the developers at SCEA San Diego have been telling us little bits of info about the PS4 iteration every Monday. Tomorrow, April 28th, will either be the last MLB14TS Monday or the second to last. Sure there might not be a big feature coming this year but every Monday for the past few weeks I have gotten anxious to see what will happen. This Monday is no exception and I hope that we will learn something that will make the game even better. If we don't I will still know that we are in for something great.

Agreed. I don't know if I have ever been as excited for a video game....ever.

This. I've played video games all my life but I've never wanted a game more than this, mainly because the sole reason I got a PS4 was to play MLB the show (had a 360)

Id say its the most ive been excited for a game. Butnot because of the game it is. Theres just not much out there to play right now. GTA 5 was my most anticipated game ever. The Last of Us sequel, whenever its made will take over.

Same here in regards to GTA 5. This one is right there with it, though. Can't really compare the two.

Hopefully whatever it is is worth the 1 year 4 month wait I've been undergoing since I bypassed the whole MLB 13 season when the PS4 was announced in 2013

I am in the same situation. The only reason I got a ps4 over a XONE was because of the show.

I'm UBER EXCITED dont get me wrong, but just saying, the wait hasn't been bad for me. Time is actually going by fast enough. (Maybe it's because I'm a little older now, and time just moves fast naturally for everything LOL). I remember August of '99 I was so upset it was so far away from christmas because I wanted a PS One and Tony Hawks Pro Skater, the wait was killer... now, I can't believe how fast days are flying by. (That being said to you young peoples, enjoy it while you can, getting old sucks)

Looking at the early footage from the aformentioned press conference trailer, and looking at the game footage we have been shown lately - the players don't look as good as in the original footage.

That's because we've been getting in game footage now for a while, the press conference the game probably wasn't "show"able yet HAHA, and so they gave us computer rendering to where they wanted the game to be. (Madden did the exact same thing for the PS2/PS3 transfer), the only difference is, EA never got to the point they wanted to even by the end of the console's life, SCEA will probably hit the mark they gave us within the next 2-3 years.
