Love this game (pre-ordered and can't wait to play!) - but I definitely would love to see some of the uniform mistakes fixed. It looks like its happening for a few teams. I know its a sore subject for a lot of folks, but honestly if your favorite team has the wrong color socks in every road game (my favorite team is the Nats), you want to see it fixed. Its not a game-breaker by any means, but its definitely one of the things I've been hoping to see fixed this year.

Seeing the Blue Jays jersey color fixed gives me hope! Also, I don't know if anyone's mentioned this yet, but I noticed in the latest Monday video that the Orioles batting helmets have been fixed (check the Chris Davis homer, they now have the white on the front of the helmet).

In other news, the game looks amazing and I cannot wait to play! Lets just try and have a little understand and grace towards people whose favorite teams have uniform mistakes. I know everyone is tired of hearing about it, but try to imagine what it'd be like if that was your team.

It was more because "he could go on all day." His comment turned to whining rather than constructive criticism. It's one thing to say to point out an error so it gets passed along, it's another to start listing things to be fixed via a patch right after someone pointed out that uniform fixes will not be included in any patch. It quit adding value to the conversation.

I feel as though there needs to be a general uniform mistake thread where you first state the team name (to make it easier to search) then what needs to be addressed. No need for a million threads for each minor mistake, or threads getting derailed by these types of issues. Simply go to that thread, search your team name to see mistakes people have found before posting. Nothing else should be posted there and it would give someone like Russell a single place to pass on suggestions to the appropriate internal person. A post would look something like this:

Most of these "mistakes" aren't mistakes at all. SCEA is bound strictly to what the MLB style guide contains. Even if it is not what they wear on the field. The only mistake I see was the Blue Jays shade of blue, all of the rest of the things like the Rockies black jersey and Nats socks are most likely style guide issues.

Yea, I've been around here long enough to understand that, but still I don't think there's anything wrong with hoping these changes take place. Unfortunately we don't get to look at the style guide (wouldn't that be nice?). Last year, the Orioles batting helmets were missing the white section on the front, this year its in - style guide change or mistake fixed? We don't really know. Same story with the Rockies helmets going from black last year to purple this year. Point being, if the Orioles are my favorite team, I don't really care why its not right, just that it isn't right. I don't think theres anything wrong with bringing it up in a non-inflammatory way.

I've been a part of the forum for two development cycles and people get really irritated about this. I have definitely seen those who bash the game or the developers and if we're irritated about them and we want them to stop making posts like that, fine. However, if perfectly polite posters (nice alliteration eh?) can't mention errors in uniforms without being ragged on...well, I don't really think thats right.

Anyways, I have no hard feelings towards you or SVCbearcat and I totally understand your point of view. Actually I think this thread is rather civil, which is great. I just wanted to give my two cents on what I see as an ongoing problem of attack/response over this subject in this forum. Hope thats okay.

Actually I think this thread is rather civil, which is great.

I think what you'll find on this site, compared to most others, is that almost everyone here is civil. I'm not sure what they have done differently but kudos to Steve Noah & Matt Holme (and everyone else who got this site going) for what they have been able to accomplish.* I feel as though many of the people here tend to be older, which helps.

Also, I just realized they are a Woodbridge company, which is 15-20 minutes from where I'm currently living, which adds a few points to their already high score in my book.

*As a side note, I exclude Madden because no one can make those forums civil.

So they can't update uniforms via patches? Simple, go the NCAA route and release uniform packs. I'd guess space isn't really an issue here like LG

Nope they don't update uniforms via patches nor do they do uniform update (see NBA 2k14). If they are bound by the style guide there is no way for them to update uniforms anyways.

The only time they've updated anything uniform related via patch was the Braves batting practice caps, which they were probably forced to do.

That really sucks. It's always annoying playing a 162 game season when your team's uniforms aren't right.

They have the wrong hats for the Braves. They wear the solid blue hats for both road uni combinations, the regular navy and red hat at home and the alternate navy and red with the A and tomahawk with the red jerseys and sometimes with the cream jerseys. In the show they wear the alternate hats with the blue road jerseys. Its a bad look

In the last video I saw that they fixed the rockies batting helmets (purple) but didn't fixed the A's road batting helmets because they are all green instead green/yallow...Is this fixable for the release date for you guys??

Well for starters the A's wear the yellow/green helmets everywhere, that is not incorrect.

If you want a mistake check out the Indians Helmets when wearing the alternate home (cream) jersey THAT'S BAD

This isn't such a problem though as all you have to do is change it right before starting the game. I do it all the time.
