I'm also wondering how to get my unique custom difficulty transferred over? My PS3 has crashed multiple times, and each time, I've lost my settings (including the 30-or-so's worth of custom difficulty revisions) but didn't lose my saves. Am I missing something?

It Occurs to Me - Will We Need the PS3 Version When Upgrading to PS4?
I mean, do we just upload everything we can to the cloud, and then download it to the PS4? Or... do we need to have the PS3 version in hand to get our various RTTSes, Chizes, and other sundry modes transferred to the PS4?

Re: It Occurs to Me - Will We Need the PS3 Version When Upgrading to PS4?
Sorry - meaning that all of this time I've spent honing (and re-honing, and re-re-honing after I had to reinstall The Show twice, after repeated crashes) my custom batting difficulty will likely transfer if I make sure to upload them to the cloud?Comment

Re: It Occurs to Me - Will We Need the PS3 Version When Upgrading to PS4?
I actually just tried this going from PS3 to Vita because I was curious how it works regarding 30-team controls, since you associate a profile to each team. It definitely doesn't carry the profiles over. In that case you have to create the CPU team profile again, and go into the settings file association screen to set it for each CPU team (that's a bit of a tangent, but I still wanted to mention it).
If I were you I'd write down your settings before you get rid of the PS3 version. That way you'll just be able to change them back to whatever you had them at (unless, again, you're using dynamic difficulty).
There's some discussion on this around the Dynamic Difficulty thread - it's definitely a shame that the profile doesn't carry over.Last edited by bcruise; 05-01-2014, 05:28 PM.Comment

Re: It Occurs to Me - Will We Need the PS3 Version When Upgrading to PS4?
And here I still have NO IDEA if I'll be able to transfer BOTH my Franchise and RTTS save files to the PS4 before the trade in....
If it's one revolving cloud slot than probably not.
Some say yes, some say no. No one seems to know for sure.Comment

Re: It Occurs to Me - Will We Need the PS3 Version When Upgrading to PS4?
They should be separate slots for each. I know I down loaded RttS and Franchise from the cloud to my other PS3

I just double checked on my Vita to be sure and not give false info out, my Season, Franchise and RttS files are there to download. I don't know why I have them as they'll be getting redone when OSFM drops :-)____________________________________________

Re: It Occurs to Me - Will We Need the PS3 Version When Upgrading to PS4?
So just to be sure, even WITHOUT PS+, I'll be able to transfer BOTH a RTTS file and Franchise file to the PS4 WITHOUT the PS3 disc, correct (meaning Monday night I'll save both files. Tuesday I'll trade in the PS3 disc for the PS4 disc. Then download my files)?Comment

And all you did was hit 'save to cloud' from WITHIN the game, correct?

Yes, all I did was hit "save to the cloud" from within the Mode I was playing (RttS/Franchise?Season, etc)
but as far as "Cloud Saves", these are just save slots on SDS servers for the users. Once your file/files are there they can be downloaded to Vita/PS3 and now PS4. I choose to think of the PS4 as another version like the Vita, and from all the comments the Devs said, the PS4 will interact with the other versions just like the Vita version would. When you get the PS4 and load up your mode and chose download from the cloud, it will access that slot you saved your file to and load that file. There is only one place to save and get these files from, it wouldn't change just for the PS4.
You could get a concrete answer (to be 100.1% sure) from one of the guys that have the PS4 version already

Re: It Occurs to Me - Will We Need the PS3 Version When Upgrading to PS4?
Thanks for the detailed explanation.
I guess the part that confuses me is the part when everybody says "You have one slot."
I need two.
So I guess the real question is, do I get one slot for EACH mode, or one total slot?
I need to make to two cloud saves (RTTS and Franchise) BEFORE trading my PS3 copyright Gamestop and buying the PS4 version.Comment

When you attempt to cloud save, you'll never see it ask you to save over a mode other than the one you're playing. They save seperately.Comment
