Probably mentioned before, but as repetitive as the commentating is, they actually point out little things like battling back from an 0-2 count to stuff like getting a single then stealing.

Also. Probably mentioned already.. But zooming in on instant replay free cam mode exposes amazing detail.. Like individual grass and fabric on uniforms.. Stitching on the baseball plus logo is a nice touch too

Also noticed Jacoby Ellsbury gets huge boos at Fenway park when facing boston.

I love the dynamic crowd and player chat.

"SWING!" Yelled by an opposing team fan just as the ball is delivered.

"Alright you got him 0-2 let's finish him off!"

There are lots of little things that are impressive in this game.. But I cringe at most of the funky animations.. Specifically throwing animations. I hate when the pitcher makes topps player of the game.. His card photo captures the awkward unrealistic looking delivery with an emotionless face to match.

Other than that, loving this game.

Many of these little things are things that have been in previous versions..Game looks beautiful though..

Not sure if someone has mentioned this already but being a stat nut I noticed this immediately.

In franchise mode, for the first several games the stat overlay that appears during batter walk-ups displays the previous seasons stats rather than the virtually nonexistent (very nonexistent on opening day) stats from the current season. Below it displays the current season's stats (3 for 12 etc.). I always hated when the batter would walk-up on opening day it would display goose eggs across the graphic, glad to see this.

yeah it's nice. it's been in the game for years though.

Played the yankees in my first major league game at home with the mariners.Jeter was up at bat and The announcers mentioned that this was his last season.Our home crowd cheered for him to show respect.Jeter waves back to the crowd

Also, in a game at The Trop it appeared to be a full crowd, that seemed like a nice touch. .

I went into a extra innings I think it was about the 12th or 13th inning and Matty V mentioned that the show " The Wilkerson's " would not be aired tonight due to the length of the game, pretty funny stuff.

I've heard that one in the past, but heard a new one this year - apologizing that a cooking show with Scott Rohde will not air.

Not sure if this has been posted yet.

If you play in cold weather games the fans in the crowd wear jackets. Saw this at a night game at Safeco park.

If a fan flips over the wall trying to get a foul ball you can see them hop back over the fence if your playing in player lock or road to the show and watching the game and watching your team hit ( or playing DH ) and watching your team field.


Edit: When playing in Tampa Bay and the fans are the cowbell noise is going off if you look in the crowd you can see the fans are shaking the cowbell.

Not sure if this is exactly a little thing, or the circumstances in which this happens, but I traded Bourjos back to the Angels and instead of giving me his cyberface, it has his Angels photo. Not sure if this works with other players, but it's pretty cool it happened.

Yeah, if I'm not mistaken, all players who get put back to former teams will have the real picture from when they were on that team.

3 little things from my one game tonight.

-Batter on deck has the weight ring on the bat now.(not sure if that was in...but it looks more realistic ...)
-Zimmerman hit a LOOONG foul ball down the LF line...he was trying to wave it fair. That might have been in...but the camera looks new if it was...it was behind him and it looked excellent.
-The crowd screaming things is hysterical. Whoever did the voices....has me laughing.

If you look carefully, you can actually see the el train passing Yankee Stadium during a game, and the pregame shot of the Bronx and Central Park is incredible. Also, Red Sox players seem to be booed more loudly than normal for a team on the road.
